Cary Kolat, former two-time NCAA champion and member of the 2000 United States Olympic Wrestling Team, is in his fourth year as a member of the North Carolina coaching staff. Kolat was elevated to the position of associate head coach in COACHING STAFF 2012 and leads the training regimen of the Tar Heel wrestlers. Kolat also serves as the director and head coach of the North Carolina Olympic Training Center based in Chapel Hill.
