201Fall S9emester SEPTEMBER THROUGH DECEMBER Welcome to the first Watermark University catalog from Hacienda at the Canyon! The foundation of Watermark University (WU) is to provide meaningful opportunities to learn, teach and grow, resulting in a life of overall well-being. Research shows that learning and keeping our mind active and sharp supports healthy aging. We will be using LifeLoop to register for classes. Keep an eye out in Thrive! for LifeLoop trainings each week. In our inaugural catalog you'll find everything from UA Humanities film lectures to Tai Chi, from Tucson Museum of Art docent talks to meeting venomous reptiles in person, even learn to make a hand-sewn book or homemade tamales! We focused our offerings on the Seven Dimensions of Well-being: Physical, Social, Intellectual, Spiritual, Emotional, Environmental, and Vocational. I want to extend a special thank you to our members who offered their expertise by teaching a class in the fall. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you!
