EVENT MEDIA GUIDE June 19-20, 2021 3x3 3x3 basketball is the world’s most popular urban sport. The Federation of International Basketball (FIBA) began sanctioning 3x3 competitions in 2010 and 3x3 will debut in the Tokyo Olympics. Hoop It Up events are endorsed by FIBA. The Hoop It Up championship team will qualify for the FIBA World Tour for a chance to earn points to help Team USA qualify for the next Olympics.

3x3 Rules Games will be played under FIBA 3x3 rules which will also be used in the Olympics. The rules include: Half court Teams of 3 players and a substitute 10- game or first to reach 21 points 12-second shot-clock No break after scoring No half-time / No quarters First to 2 pts wins OT Acquired by Kevin Garnett’s Big Ticket Sports LLC in 2019, Hoop It Up has been the largest 3x3 basketball tour, recognized as the most prolific grassroots basketball tour with millions of worldwide participants for over 30 years.

The Hoop It Up Pro Am League is a national competition of 40 Hoop It Up clubs across the country competing in weekly tournaments. Weekly tournament winners will earn points in the season standings towards winning the League championship and receiving an automatic berth to compete in the Federation of International Basketball (FIBA) World Tour which offers over $1 million in annual prize money. The points to be awarded at the Juneteenth Jamboree and each subsequent event is as follows: 1st - 20 points 2nd - 15 points 3rd - 10 points 4th - 8 points 5th - 6 points 6th - 4 points 7th - 2 points 8th or lower - No Points awarded Minnesota 3 Ball
