For the first time in the school’s Division I era, San Diego State has won consecutive outright regular-season conference championships. San Diego State has won Mountain West regular-season titles in 2006, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020 and 2021 (bold indicates outright titles). Including tournament titles, San Diego State has won a record 13 Mountain West men’s basketball championships. New Mexico is second on that list with eight titles.
