The average cover of the trails is ‘excellent’ and the average condition is ‘spring.’ What does spring mean? It means that the trails are optimum up until about 11am before the classic spring daily melt starts and by 3pm it’s almost like you’re surfing on snow. That said though, around 50km of trails are regularly groomed. My personal favourites at the moment; On the national team camp last week we skied out towards Pretty Valley and the groomer (who is on fire) made a large loop around Pretty Valley and then down to Pretty Valley dam. Honestly I had never skied some of that loop before and it was perfect! If you like to stay centralised, we also did some hard L5 skate intervals from Horseyards straight up little Canada, those crazy trails there were pretty cool too. So there’s lots on offer at the moment, and Members of the National Team with coach Valerio not many excuses. Leccardi.
