The Executive Engineer and Administrative Officers of divisions/units in the city and mofussil areas may also be contacted. FEES: Every application for obtaining information under sub section (1) of Section 6 of the Right to Informaton Act-2005 shall be accompanied by an application with a fee of Rupees Ten by Cash/DD/Bankers Cheque payable in favour of the Managing Director, TNHB or Court Fee Stamp to the value of Rupees Ten to be affixed on the application. For providing information under sub section (1) of Section of the Right to Information Act-2005, the fee shall be charged by way of Cash against proper receipt or by demand draft or bankers cheque payable the Public Authority at the following rates: (a) Rupees Two for each page (in A-4 (or) A-3 size Paper) created or copied (b) actual charge or cost price of a copy in larger size paper [c] actual cost or price for samples or models and (d ) for inspection of records,no fee for the first hour and a fee of Rupees Five for each subsequent hour (or fraction thereof) For Providing the information under sub-section (5) of section 7, the fee shall be charged by way of cash against proper receipt or by demand draft or bankers cheque payable to the public authority at the following rates: 7 for information provided in diskette or floppy rupees fifty per diskette or floppy and (b) for information provided in printed form at the price fixed for such publication or rupees two per page of photocopy for extracts from the publication. 2 (Government . A B S T R A C T The weaving or power loom industry is the largest cottage industry in the country. The weaving sector plays an important role in the country‟s economy. Handwoven fabric is the product of Indian tradition, the inspiration of the cultural ethos of the weavers. The textile industry occupies a unique place in our country. This sector is very important from the point of view of its size and employment potential. It provides direct and indirect employment to over 13 million weavers. The power looms weavers who make traditional items such as saris, dhotis, bedsheets, and towels, etc., have been hit the hardest and contribute to the production. Out of the 38 million people employed in the weaving industry to 33 percent are concentrated in this declining part of the sector. It also gives employment to a lot of women and plays a role in women's empowerment. The textile and power loom industry plays a crucial role in empowering women in the present situation of the time. Women empowerment means self-reliance by the women in their own capabilities.

So, the present study was focused on the impact of leachate percolation on ground water quality. Leachate and ground water samples were collected from Vellakal Dump site and the surrounding areas. The leachate and ground water samples were tested for various physiochemical parameters and heavy metals. The heavy metals tested in the groundwater shows Fe and Pb in places nearer to dumpsite. The result of the test and interpolated maps of parameters shows that there is a high concentration of TDS, Total hardness,Ca2+ ,Mg2+ ,Cl- present in all collected ground water samples. And the western side of dumping site is highly affected by leachate intrusion. This indicates that the Figure1. Study area map groundwater is affected by leachate percolation and further the groundwater is undesirable for domestic water supply and Avaniapuram is a municipality in Madurai district on the other uses.The results shows that there is a need of landfill state of Tamil Nadu, India. As of 2011, the town had a liner in the Vellakal dumping site.
