ARTIST IN RESIDENCE WELCOME TO BUNDANON 1 | Artist-in-Residence Handbook | Bundanon Trust WELCOME TO BUNDANON Bundanon Trust is the gift of renowned artist Arthur Boyd and his family to the Australian people. In particular, he wanted other artists to experience the beauty of the Shoalhaven, and to be inspired. Our studios are the result of that generous act. Each year around 300 extraordinary artists are energised by their experiences of our Artist-in- Residence program. At Bundanon there is space and time to create surrounded by colleagues in a setting of stunning natural beauty. Create and share. (Front) Musicians Cottage. It was the culmination of considerable effort by Arthur Boyd over several years that included holding works back from sale and buying works, in particular works by his father Merric Boyd, and grandparents Emma Minnie and Arthur Merric Boyd. Sidney Nolan added to the Collection with a number of early works, and a series made in the Bundanon studio in 1981. Ongoing development of the Bundanon Art Collection has been possible as the result of further generous gifts made by the Boyd family and others, including artists who have visited under the Bundanon Trusts artist in residence program. Contact us to discuss a donation to the Art Collection. Artists can view by appointment the works in the Art Collection in the Oscar and Mary Ramsay Study Centre, Bundanon’s purpose-built collection storage facility. Artists are also invited to view works in the Bundanon homestead and Arthur Boyd’s studio on Sunday Open Days (see below).
