Clothing styles constantly change, but refined attire is still required at all times! Boca Lago Golf & Country Club maintains the following dress code policy for members and guests. Please be advised that the dress code will be enforced. Club management, in its sole discretion, retains the right to permit or refuse access to the dining facilities to any individual(s) based on circumstances relative to the clubhouse dress code policy. Members are responsible to advise their guests of the dress code requirements prior to arrival at the club. GENERAL DRESS CODE GUIDELINES It is expected that members and their Family members will choose to dress in a fashion befitting the surrounding and atmosphere provided in the setting of the Club. It is also expected that Members and their Family members will advise their guests on guidelines. Management may request those improperly dressed to change or leave the Club Facilities. The Club reserves the right to add additional requirement regarding attire for certain events or certain areas of the Club in the future. From time to time, exceptions to the dress rules may be made as published by the Club. The dress code shall be strictly enforced by Club Management. DINING VENUES Club management, in its sole discretion, retains the right to permit or refuse access to the dining facilities to any individual(s) based on circumstances relative to the Clubhouse dress code policy. • BAR & LOUNGE ATTIRE Daytime o Men: Country Club acceptable golf and tennis attire, slacks, Bermuda length shorts, denim jeans (without tears, rips, holes, or which are dirty or excessively baggy and/or ill fitting), collared shirts, mock shirts, t-shirts (without offense language or graphics), and sweaters. o Women: Country Club acceptable golf and tennis attire, athleisure wear, slacks, Bermuda length shorts, skirts and dresses (no more than 3” inches above the knee), skorts, denim jeans (without tears, rips, holes, or which are dirty or excessively baggy and/or ill fitting), collared shirts, blouses, mock shirts, t-shirts (without offense language or graphics), and sweaters. o Children: Clothing commensurate with attire worn by men and women. o Men, Women, Children: May wear caps, hats, and visors in bar and lounge area during lunch time, after participating in sporting activities at the Club unless otherwise stated by the Club. Headwear should be worn correctly with the bill, brim or visor facing forward. o Note: Swimwear is never allowed in the Clubhouse or dining facilities. Evening o Men: Dress Slacks, denim jeans (without tears, rips, holes, or which are dirty or excessively baggy and/or ill fitting), collared shirts, mock collared shirts, and turtlenecks. Men must tuck in all shirts with the exception of those shirts that are specifically designed to be worn untucked. o Women: Dress shorts, skirts, and cocktail dresses (no more than 4” inches above knee), slacks, capris, dinner suits, denim jeans (without tears, rips, holes, or which are dirty or excessively baggy and/or ill fitting), blouses, and sweaters. o Children: Clothing commensurate with attire worn by men and women. o Notes: • Certain events may require a jacket or jacket and tie for men. • Swimwear is never allowed in the Clubhouse or dining facilities. • GRILLE ROOM ATTIRE Daytime o Men: Country Club acceptable golf and tennis attire, slacks, Bermuda length shorts, denim jeans (without tears, rips, holes, or which are dirty or excessively baggy and/or ill fitting), collared shirts, mock shirts, t-shirts (without offense language or graphics), and sweaters. o Women: Country Club acceptable golf and tennis attire, athleisure wear, slacks, Bermuda length shorts, skirts and dresses (no more than 4” inches above the knee), skorts, denim jeans (without tears, rips, holes, or which are dirty or excessively baggy and/or ill fitting), collared shirts, blouses, mock shirts, t-shirts (without offense language or graphics), and sweaters. o Children: Clothing commensurate with attire worn by men and women. o Men, Women, Children: May wear caps, hats, and visors in bar and lounge area during lunch time, after participating in sporting activities at the Club unless otherwise stated by the Club. Special events include, but are not limited to, Dinner Dances, Members-Guest Sporting Events, Gourmet Wine Dinners, and Holiday Events. Club management shall determine and publish the applicable dress code for this venue and special events on an event-by-event basis. • GOLF ATTIRE This dress code applies to any person in the practice areas or golf courses. Members are responsible for the attire of their guests. • Men – Men should wear generally accepted golf attire. o Men may wear long trousers, slacks, knickers, Bermuda or walking shorts (no more than 3” inches above the knee). Jeans, cargo shorts, gym/basketball shorts, yoga pants, running shorts, tennis shorts, cut offs, and swim attire are not permitted on the golf courses, or golf practice facilities. o Shirts with collars and sleeves, collarless crew neck golf shirts, mock turtlenecks are acceptable. Tank tops, T-shirts, muscle shirts, mesh shirts and collarless shirts are not permitted on the golf courses, or golf practice facilities. o Shirts must be tucked in while participating in golfing activities on the golf courses and golf practice facilities. o Soft spike, spike less golf shoes, or tennis shoes must be worn on the golf courses, golf practice facilities and Golf Pro Shop. Golf shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. • Women – Women should wear general accepted golf attire. o Women may wear long trousers, slacks, knickers, Bermuda or walking shorts (no more than 3” inches above the knee), skorts, golf skirts and golf dresses. Jeans, cargo shorts, gym/basketball shorts, yoga pants, running shorts, tennis shorts, cut offs, and swim attire are not permitted on the golf courses or golf practice facilities. o Shirts with collars and sleeves, collarless crew neck golf shirts, mock turtlenecks, collarless and sleeveless shirts are considered appropriate golf attire. Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, T-shirts, and mesh shirts are not permitted on the golf courses or golf practice facilities. o Soft spike, spike less golf shoes, or tennis shoes must be worn on the golf courses, golf practice facilities and Golf Pro Shop. Golf shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. • Children-Golf attire for boys and girls is the same as noted above for men and women excluding infants and toddlers. • Tennis Attire While on the tennis courts, members and guests must always wear appropriate attire in styles specifically designed for tennis. Men o Tennis shirts with sleeves, collarless and collared shirts are permitted provided they are in good taste. Tennis-length shorts or athletic slacks as well as non-athletic style tennis wear are also considered appropriate attire. o Tank tops, tee shirts, mesh shirts, cut-offs, yoga pants, running shorts and bathing suits are not permitted. o Flat rubber soled tennis shoes are acceptable. Running or jogging shoes are not acceptable. Women o Tennis shirts with sleeves, collarless and collared shirts are permitted provided they are in good taste. Tennis-length shorts or athletic slacks, tennis dress, or skirt, skorts, fashion T-shirts, as well as non-athletic style tennis wear are also considered appropriate attire. o Tank tops, tee shirts, mesh shirts, cut-offs, yoga pants, running shorts and bathing suits are not permitted. o Flat rubber soled tennis shoes are acceptable. Running or jogging shoes are not acceptable. Children o Tennis attire for boys and girls is the same as noted above for men and women excluding infants and toddlers Fitness Center Only suitable attire, as may be determined by the Club and fitness specialists, may be worn inside the Fitness Center. o Men o T-shirts, tank tops, gym/basketball shorts, spandex, warm-up pants, sweat pants, socks and sneaker are considered acceptable fitness attire. o Cut offs, jeans, street clothes and swim wear are not permitted. o For reasons of safety; shoes without non-skid soles, open toed shoes, flip flops, and shoes without a heel-cup are also not permitted in the fitness center. Women Leotards, tights, warm-up suits, yoga pants, gym/basketball shorts, spandex, sweatpants, T-shirts, tank tops, and socks are considered acceptable fitness attire. Cut offs, jeans, street clothes and swim wear are not permitted. For reasons of safety; shoes without non-skid soles, open toed shoes, flip flops, and shoes without a heel-cup are also not permitted in the fitness center. Children Fitness attire for boys and girls is the same as noted above for men and women. POOL ATTIRE • Appropriate Attire: o Proper swimming attire is required at all times, including bathing suits, board shorts, or rash guards. o Cotton clothing, cutoff jeans, see through swimwear, thongs, Brazilian/G-string bathing suits or similar are considered inappropriate attire and are not allowed.
