The day is yours to enjoy as you please. Settle in at the hotel or consult with the concierge for suggestions on what to see and do on your first day in Sydney. Day 2 Following breakfast, board a coach to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. Created for the wife of the state’s Governor- General in 1810, this hand-carved stone bench offers panoramic views of the picturesque Sydney Harbour. From here, prepare to fall in love with the beauty and distinctive architecture of one of the most famous performing arts centers in the world, the Sydney Opera House. Officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on October 20, 1973, it remains one of Sydney's most famous landmarks. Step inside to enjoy a guided tour and learn about its history, design, and current role. Hungry for more sightseeing? Lunch today will take place at the famous Bondi Beach, where you’ll enjoy free time to explore various boutique stores and dine at your leisure. Complete your day of sightseeing with a photo stop at ‘The Gap’ for spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour before returning to your hotel to refresh. Reunite with your group in the hotel lobby to head to dinner at a nearby restaurant in The Rocks, known for its focus on quality Australian produce. Day 3 After breakfast at the hotel, check out and prepare to witness Sydney from new heights as you make your way to the top of Sydney Tower for 360-degree views of this marvelous city. Afterward, continue to the Royal Botanic Gardens for an Aboriginal Heritage tour to learn about the history and culture of Sydney’s Aboriginal people from your Indigenous guide, exploring the ways native plants are used in cooking, and even try a few! Boxed lunch for two* with sandwiches, charcuterie, and a sweet treat will be provided for you to enjoy within the tranquil surroundings of the gardens. Sit under the shade of tree cover, recline on a park bench overlooking Sydney Harbour or meander through winding pathways in search of a secluded haven. You may only be a short distance from the city center, but you’ll find its bustling sounds disappear into the distance as the garden's natural setting consumes the sounds.
