This Order may be cited as the Traffic Restriction (Temporary Citation Provisions) (Carnival) Order, 2005. PART I PORT-OF-SPAIN Division 1—Vehicular Traffic and Parking 2. (2) On Monday 7th February, 2005 and Tuesday 8th February, 2005, from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., vehicular traffic is prohibited on the roads specified in subclause (4) and on all roads lying within and bounded by the specified roads. (3) On Monday 7th February, 2005, from 4.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. and Tuesday 8th February, 2005, from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., parking is prohibited on the roads specified in subclause (4) and on all roads lying within and bounded by the specified roads. Parking 3. (1) On Monday 7th February, 2005, from 4.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., prohibited parking is prohibited on the following roads: (a) Oxford Street, between Observatory Street and Dundonald Street; and (b) Stone Street. (2) On Monday 7th February, 2005, from 4.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. and Tuesday 8th February, 2005, from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., parking is prohibited on the following: (a) Circular Road; (b) Maraval Road, between St. Clair Roundabout and St. Clair Avenue (Queen’s Royal College Roundabout); (c) St. Clair Avenue; (d) Damian Street; (e) De Verteuil Street; (f) Dennis Mahabir Street; (g) Wrightson Road; (h) Beetham Highway, between Abattoir Road and Wrightson Road, with the exception of the taxis specified in clause 11; (i) Viera Street; (j) Abattoir Road; (k) St. Joseph Road; (l) Foster Road; (m) Plaisance Road; (n) Picton Road; (o) Laventille Road; (p) Quarry Street; (q) Belgrade Street; (r) Codrington Street; (s) Parker Street; (t) Pall Mall Street; (u) Oxford Street, east of Observatory Street; Traffic Restriction (Temporary Provisions) (Carnival) Order, 2005 111 (v) Belmont Circular Road, between Observatory Street and Queen’s Park East; (w) Belmont Circular Road, between Observatory Street and the entrance to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital; (x) Jerningham Avenue, between Archer Street and Norfolk Street; (y) Archer Street; (z) Cadiz Road; and (aa) Lady Young Road, between the entrance to the Trinidad Hilton and St. Ann’s Roundabout. (3) On Monday 7th February, 2005, from 4.00 a.m. to midnight and Tuesday 8th February, 2005, from 9.00 a.m. to midnight, parking is prohibited on the following: (a) the portion of South Quay and the Eastern Main Road, between Viera Street, Port-of-Spain and Bushe Street, San Juan; and (b) Abattoir Road, with the exception of the taxis specified in clauses 13 and 14. 4. (1) On Monday 7th February, 2005, from 3.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., One-way vehicular traffic shall proceed along Stone Street, between Wrightson traffic Road and Park Street, in a southerly direction only. (2) On Monday 7th February, 2005, from 4.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. and Tuesday 8th February, 2005, from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., vehicular traffic shall proceed on— (a) Archer Street, between Belmont Circular Road and Jerningham Avenue, in a southerly direction only; (b) Cadiz Road, in an easterly direction only; and (c) Viera Street, from St. Joseph Road to Abattoir Road, in a southerly direction only. 5. Notwithstanding any enactment to the contrary, from 3.00 a.m. Two-way on Monday 7th February, 2005 to 6.00 a.m. on Wednesday traffic 9th February, 2005, vehicular traffic may proceed in both directions— (a) around the Queen’s Park Savannah, between Cadiz Road and Queen’s Royal College Roundabout, by way of Circular Road and Maraval Road; (b) on Observatory Street, between Quarry Street and Belmont Circular Road; and (c) on Belmont Circular Road, between Observatory Street and the entrance to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. 112 Traffic Restriction (Temporary Provisions) (Carnival) Order, 2005 Route for 6. Division 2—Taxi and Maxi-taxi Stands Duration 7. This Division shall have effect from 3.00 a.m. on Monday 7th February, 2005, to midnight on Tuesday 8th February, 2005. Long Circular/ 8. Taxis assigned to taxi stands on Chacon Street, between Wrightson Independence Square South and South Quay (Long Circular/Wrightson Road taxi stands Road) shall operate from the northern side of Dock Road, between Wrightson Road and the entrance to the Port Authority. Diego Martin/ 9. Marine Square/ 10. Taxis assigned to taxi stands on the southern side of Ice House Independence Square North, between Abercromby Street and taxi stands St. Vincent Street and on the eastern and western sides of Cipriani Circle, between Independence Square North and Independence Square South (On-call taxis) shall operate from Ajax Street, facing south. San Fernando/ 11. Taxis assigned to taxi stands on the southern side of South Chaguanas Quay, between Broadway and Abercromby Street shall operate with taxi stands respect to— (a) the San Fernando taxi stand, from the northern carriageway of the Beetham Highway, west of Broadway, facing east; and (b) the Chaguanas taxi stand, from the northern carriageway of the Beetham Highway, east of Broadway, facing east. Morvant/Trou 12. Taxis assigned to Morvant/Trou Macaque shall operate on the Macaque taxi stands northern side of the Eastern Main Road, east of the flyover.
