Specific geological, hydrogeological and hydrochemical conditions of the above mentioned occurrences of mineral water are the reasons for treated them as parts of a common hydrogeological structure, denoted as Dolna Banya thermal water basin. Scope and boundaries of the basin are delineated. A description of individual mineral water occurrences is presented. The discharge of each of them is assessed on actual measurements and observations of discharge regime. The total outflow of mineral water from the occurrences of the Dolna Banya thermal water basin recently amounts to 53 l/s. The hydrochemical characteristic of mineral waters is presented as well as regularities in the distribution of composition and temperature. A conceptual computer model of the Dolna Banya thermal water basin is compiled and it is used for determining the cathcment areas for each of the mineral water occurrences. The model confirms hydraulic connection between specific parts of the basin and in the meanwhile studies the determination of Kostenets occurrence of mineral water as an autonomous part of the basin. -
Sustainable Energy Action Plan 2006-2020 Г. Summary
MUNICIPALITY OF KOSTINBROD Sustainable Energy Action Plan 2006-2020 г. Summary Kostinbrod, 2013 Sustainable Energy Action Plan of Kostinbrod Municipality 2006-2020 /Summary/ Introduction Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) is e program strategy defining the energy policy which the Municipality of Kostinbrod intends to adopt in order to reach the Covenant of Mayors goals. These goals are based on reports of the emissions and the baseline emissions, which represent the picture of the energy situation in the municipality of Kostinbrod in 2006. The main objective lying in the Plan is the reduction of CO2 emissions and identifying the most appropriate actions for meeting these specific goals. The Plan is focused mainly on the reduction of both - emissions and the final energy consumption in the public and private sectors. The achievement of these results determines the leading role of the public administration in the implementation of an energy policy, based on more effective energy actions. The main sectors taken into account by the Sustainable Energy Action Plan are Buildings, Heating and Cooling Systems, Public Transport and Energy Production from Renewable Sources. General Strategy within the initiative “Covenant of Mayors” The Covenant of Mayors is an initiative of the European Commission, aimed at guiding the local authorities into taking actions for reaching the sustainable energy development goals. In March 2007 with the document “Energy for a Changing World”, the European Union has committed to a set of goals to be met by 2020: to reduce the EU greenhouse gas emissions with at least 20% compared to 1990 levels ; to increase the use of renewable energy sources by 20%; to increase the level of energy efficiency by 20%; By the Action Plan of the European Union “Releasing the Potential”, the European Community has decided to establish the Covenant of Mayors in order to provide co-ordination of the actions needed for reaching the objectives. -

Milen Penerliev 1 Alternative tourism is a form of tourism which represents an alternative to the conventional mass tourism. Its forms are small-scale, low-density, divided into forms practiced in urban (religious, cultural, business) and rural areas. Alternative tourism is an attempt to preserve, protect and improve the quality of the existing resource base, which is fundamental for tourism itself. Alternative tourism is featured by active encouragement and care for the development of additional andspecific attractions as well the infrastructure, which are based on the local resources, while at the same time aiding the latter. It has an impact on the quality of life in the region, improves the infrastructure and increases the educational and cultural level of the local community. -

The Slugs of Bulgaria (Arionidae, Milacidae, Agriolimacidae
POLSKA AKADEMIA NAUK INSTYTUT ZOOLOGII ANNALES ZOOLOGICI Tom 37 Warszawa, 20 X 1983 Nr 3 A n d rzej W ik t o r The slugs of Bulgaria (A rionidae , M ilacidae, Limacidae, Agriolimacidae — G astropoda , Stylommatophora) [With 118 text-figures and 31 maps] Abstract. All previously known Bulgarian slugs from the Arionidae, Milacidae, Limacidae and Agriolimacidae families have been discussed in this paper. It is based on many years of individual field research, examination of all accessible private and museum collections as well as on critical analysis of the published data. The taxa from families to species are sup plied with synonymy, descriptions of external morphology, anatomy, bionomics, distribution and all records from Bulgaria. It also includes the original key to all species. The illustrative material comprises 118 drawings, including 116 made by the author, and maps of localities on UTM grid. The occurrence of 37 slug species was ascertained, including 1 species (Tandonia pirinia- na) which is quite new for scientists. The occurrence of other 4 species known from publications could not bo established. Basing on the variety of slug fauna two zoogeographical limits were indicated. One separating the Stara Pianina Mountains from south-western massifs (Pirin, Rila, Rodopi, Vitosha. Mountains), the other running across the range of Stara Pianina in the^area of Shipka pass. INTRODUCTION Like other Balkan countries, Bulgaria is an area of Palearctic especially interesting in respect to malacofauna. So far little investigation has been carried out on molluscs of that country and very few papers on slugs (mostly contributions) were published. The papers by B a b o r (1898) and J u r in ić (1906) are the oldest ones. -

Assessment of Contamination with Opportunistic Pathogenic Bacteria from Family Enterobacteriaceae in Sediments of Iskar River
Supplement 1 Ecological Engineering and Environment Protection, IX, 2017, p. 47-55 ASSESSMENT OF CONTAMINATION WITH OPPORTUNISTIC PATHOGENIC BACTERIA FROM FAMILY ENTEROBACTERIACEAE IN SEDIMENTS OF ISKAR RIVER Ivaylo Yotinov, Yovana Todorova, Lyubomir Kenderov, Yana Topalova Abstract: Fecal pollution from municipal wastewater discharges is an extremely serious problem for aquatic ecosystems. This type of pollution is also found in the waters and sediments of the Iskar River in its upper and middle valley. From a microbiological point of view, an indicator of such contamination is the presence of high amounts of opportunistic pathogenic microorganisms of the family Enterobacteriaceae. An important feature is that, except in the waters where they are normally found, large amounts of these bacteria can also accumulate in sediments. The purpose of this study is to compare the contamination with opportunistic pathogenic bacteria from the Enterobacteriaceae in sediments from the upper and middle part of the Iskar River. In addition, a comparison of the quantity of entero-bacteria with the ecological state indicators was made by Regulation N-4 of 14.09.2012 on characterization of surface water. From the results of this study, the higher amounts of entero-bacteria were found in the sediments from the middle part of the Iskar River. This is largely related to the strongly negative effect of the urbanized area of Sofia as well as the lack of functioning wastewater treatment plants in the middle of the Iskar River. The results for entero- bacteria from the Upper Iskar subcatchment, also demonstrated a significant contamination with fecal character. As a probable reason for this can be the discharge of Samokov WWTP as well as the unregulated point sources of pollution in this region. -

For every individual species, that is extant in every reported cave and gallery, as well as the authors who have made the report, is included. New data, most recently gathered are re ported as well. Several species are new for the cave fauna of Bulgaria, some others are all together new to the caves. One species is new for the Bulgarian fauna. The number of the established up until now Lepidoptera species in the caves and galleries in Bulgaria is 32. Introduction For a considerable length of time the Bulgarian cave fauna has been of interest to many researchers, both Bulgarians and foreign. Although considerable data concerning the fauna of Lepidoptera of the caves and galleries in Bulgaria exists, having been published in nu merous articles, up until now only one study (Skalski , 1972) concerns the Lepidoptera cave fauna.
