Schedule / Requirement of Documents a. Schedule (1) Checking of papers / compilation of results / interviews August / September 2020 (2) Issuance of call up notices for detailed / final medical examination of selected candidates Exact dates will be notified to shortlisted / selected candidates as (3) Arrival of finally selected candidates for training per merit. (4) Commencement of training September / October 2020 b. Documents. Following documents will be provided by the candidates at the time of initial registration:- (1) Original Education Sanads / Certificates / Degrees 2 x photocopies of all supporting (In case of 8th class passed, School Leaving Certificate should be documents including education verified by concerned District Education Officer) certificates, domicile / permanent (2) Original Computerized National Identity Card issued by NADRA residential certificate and National (3) Original Domicile Identity Card etc will be provided by the candidate at the time of (4) 4 x Coloured passport size photographs initial registration. (5) In case of a candidate already serving in any Government / Semi Government Department, No Objection Certificate (NOC) duly signed by the Head of concerned Department will be provided in original at the time of initial registration. Non Combatant Enrolled (NCsE) 8 Class Passed (except Sanitary Workers) qualification / technical th 5 Class Passed (Sanitary Workers Only) diploma holders 5. Physical Standards a. Height. Minimum 5’-6” (5 feet and 6 inches). b. Chest. 33” inch (including 1 ½ inch expansion). c. Weight. Minimum 121 Lbs (55 kgs approx) and maximum as per BMI. d. Initial / final medical examinations. 6. Age Limit. Minimum 18 years as on 01 August 2020 and maximum 30 years as on 30 September 2020 (including 5 years age relaxation given by the Government). (Preference will be given to younger candidates keeping in view the nature of duty). 7. Citizenship. Pakistani (Male) 8. Ineligibility. Candidates with following criteria are ineligible:- a. Removal / dismissal / debarred from any Government Department or Pakistan Rangers on grounds of discipline. b. Convicted from any Court of Law. c. Previously declared medical unfit from Pakistan Rangers or any other Government Department. d. Removed / dismissed / dispensed with from service from Pakistan Rangers in case of bogus / forged education certificates. e. Retired / discharged from Pakistan Rangers at own request / dispensed with from service during training at Pakistan Rangers. f. Candidates appearing for initial registration without No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Head of the Department of Government / Semi Government Department serving with. g. Candidates already serving in Armed Forces / Civil Armed Forces and are Overstay Leave (OSL) / Absent Without Leave (AWOL) from the Department / Organization. h. Difference / variation / tempering in date of birth and names mentioned in computerized National Identity Card and education certificates / documents etc. 9. Mode of Selection a. Initial registrations - Rs.200/- as registration fee (BPS 5 only) b. Initial medical examination No fee for initial med examination will be charged at the time of initial registration. c. Physical test - Candidates to bring Joggers / PT shoes for 1 mile running test. No written / physical test will be held for Non Combatant Enrolled (NCsE) category. d. Written test - Writing material will be provided however, candidates may bring along own writing material. e. Interviews / final selection - As per eligible criteria / merit at Headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Karachi. f. Final medical examination • Final medical examination will be held at Sindh Rangers Hospital Karachi. • Hepatitis tests and Chest X-ray of finally selected candidates will be taken during final medical examination. • Fee will be paid by the candidate. g. Call letters - Final medically fit candidates will be issued with call letters to join initial training 10. Training. Finally selected candidates will have to undergo initial training at Training Centre and School Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) near old Hyderabad Toll Plaza Super Highway, Karachi. 11. Pay and Allowances (Selected Candidates) a. Basic Pay Scales (BPS) Ser Rank BPS Pay Scales (1) Sepoy General Duty and Sepoy Cook 5 10260-510-25560 (2) Non Combatant Enrolled (NCsE) 2 9310-330-19210 CRO 3 (SINDH) b. Allowances. As per existing rules / authorization. c. Accommodation. Free accommodation and house rent allowance for married person @ 30% on Basic Pay Scale and @ 45% of Basic Pay Scale at Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur. d. During recruitment process no TA / DA will be admissible. 12. Precautions Against COVID-19 During Recruitment Process. As a protection against COVID-19, following to be ensured by all:- a. Use of masks. b. Minimum six feet social distancing. c. Handshakes / embracing is forbidden. d. Individuals having symptoms of cold, cough or fever must avoid to report for recruitment (Screening will be done at recruitment location). e. Known symptomatic cases must avoid to report for recruitment. 13. This recruitment will be considered temporary, until the verification of all relevant documents and final approval of Competent Authority. If documents of any candidate are found bogus / forged, the individual will be dispensed with from service and handed over to the Police. A Special Task Force is located in Hyderabad (Sindh) and another in Multan (Punjab), HRCP also runs a Centre for Democratic Development in Islamabad and is supported by correspondents and activists across the country.

The deceased was struck by seven bullets in different parts of the body. Nine bullet shells of a 9mm pistol were recovered from the scene of the crime. According to police, the deceased was called to the location through a phone call. They said the late KMC employee was on his motorcycle waiting for someone. Two unidentified men killed him by opening fire at him at Hussainabad, near Okhai Memon Masjid, in the limits of Azizabad police station. The deceased, identified as Shakeel Ahmed, aged 35, son of Shafiq Ahmed, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. He was a resident of house no. L-72 Sector 5C 4, North Karachi, and worked as a clerk in KMC‘s engineering department. Rangers and police officials reached the scene after receiving information of the incident. They recovered nine bullet shells of a 9mm pistol and have begun investigating the incident. According to Azizabad DSP Shaukat Raza, someone had phoned and summoned the deceased to Hussainabad, near Okhai Memon Masjid.

In Pakistan, an understaffed and underequipped police force is increasingly called on to manage rising insecurity and militant violence. This report evaluates the obstacles to upgrading the existing police system and recommends traditional and Reforming Pakistan‘s innovative reform options, including major restructuring of the total civilian law enforcement infrastructure, without which the police force cannot be effectively improved.
