The club was saddened to hear of the passing of former Club President and life member Fred Power who held that post of president in the 1970’s when our current president was playing in the Shark’s first team. Born in 1916 in Gunning, an historic town just north of Canberra, Fred grew up on a dairy farm. A veteran of the second world war he later settled in Sutherland with wife Moira and was at the helm of the Sharks when they were on top of the league in the late 70’s with Johnny Watkiss as coach. Fred was 105 years (and 5 Months) old when he passed away this recently. RIP
