Solution of Reservation Policy in Educational Institutions 315-322 Vijay Kumar Journal of Global Research & Analysis Volume 1 (1) (A Multi-Disciplinary Refereed Research Journal) ISSN – 2278-6775 LAW OF TORTS OR TORTS LAW: AN ANALYSIS Sandhya Rohal Assistant Professor Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat, Haryana, India & Vikas Rohal Advocate, Panipat, Haryana, India ABSTRACT Tort law in India is a relatively new common law development supplemented by codifying statutes including statutes governing damages. While India generally follows the UK approach, there are certain differences which may indicate judicial activism, hence creating controversies. In this paper we raises two basics question 1:- 1) Is it the law of tort, i.e is every wrongful act for which there is no justification or excuse is to be treated as a tort. 2) Is it law of torts, consisting only of a number of specific wrongs beyond which the liability under this branch of law cannot arise. Winfield 2 support 1st question as it‟s a law of tort which has a wider scope. On the other hand Salmond 3 preferred the second alternative, the liability under this branch of law arises only when the wrong is covered by anyone or the other nominate torts. There is no general principle of liability. Each theory seems to have received some support, in 1702 ASHBY v. WHITE, the 1st theory was recognized the principle - ubi jus ibi remenium, where there is injury there is remedy. However Dr. Jenks favored Salmond‟s theory, acc. to him Salmond‟s theory does not imply that the courts are incapable of creating new tort. He says that, the court can create new torts but such torts cannot be created unless they are substantially similar to those which are already in existence. Dr. Jenks‟ view does not appear to be correct as various new torts like Deciet , the rule in Rylands v. Fletcher and negligence, which have come into existence, are not similar to any of those torts which are already in existence. Key Words: Tort Suit, Tortious Liability, Strict Liablity, Fault Liability, Liability, Duty. Tort law defines the conditions under which a person is entitled to damage compensation if his or her claim is not based on contractual obligation. Damage result from the loss or impairment of property, health, life or limb, from the infringement of rights or from pure financial or non- financial losses. Economically speaking every reduction of the individual‘s utility level caused by a tortious act can be regarded as the damage 4. Tort law rules aim at drawing a just and fair line between those noxious events that should lead to damage compensation and others for which the damage should lie where it falls. 1 Journal of Global Research & Analysis Volume 1 (1) (A Multi-Disciplinary Refereed Research Journal) ISSN – 2278-6775 In common law countries tort law has developed from a large body of formerly unrelated doctrines such as conversions, trespass, nuisance, defamation, negligence, deceit and rules from case laws. On the European continent a more systematic and rationalistic approach resulted in the formulation of some basic concepts of tort law.

Current RBI Policy & Reserve Rates: Repo Rate 8% (Unchanged) Reverse Repo 7% (Unchanged) CRR 4% (Unchanged) SLR 22% (C hanged) MSF 9% (Unchanged) Bank Rate 9% (Unchanged) Note : As on 5 Aug 2014, RBI (Reserve Bank of India) in its Third bimonthly monetary policy statement kept the key policy rate (repo) unchanged. SLR was cut by 50 basis point from 22.5% to 22%. Important Banking Terminology: 1. Bank Rate: The interest rate at which at central bank lends money to commercial banks. Often these loans are very short in duration. Managing the bank rate is a preferred method by which central banks can regulate the level of economic activity. Lower bank rates can help to expand the economy, when unemployment is high, by lowering the cost of funds for borrowers. Conversely, higher bank rates help to reign in the economy, when inflation is higher than desired. 2. Liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) is a monetary policy tool which allows banks to borrow money through repurchase agreements. LAF is used to aid banks in adjusting the day to day mismatches in liquidity. LAF consists of repo and reverse repo operations. 3. Repo Rate: Whenever the banks have any shortage of funds they can borrow it form RBI. Repo rate is the rate at which commercial banks borrows rupees from RBI.

This invitation letter includes all necessary information which you need in reference to the Cologne Boxing Worldcup Boxing including registration and hotel information. We, the German Boxing Association with the aid of the LOC, will ensure that your Team Delegations will have a successful residence and competition in the city of Cologne. Narasimha Rao. This policy opened the door of the India Economy for the global exposure for the first time. In this New Economic Policy P. V. Narasimha Rao government reduced the import duties, opened reserved sector for the private players, and devalued the Indian currency to increase the export. This is also known as the LPG Model of growth. (Liberalization, Privatisation and Globalisation). New Economic Policy refers to economic liberalisation or relaxation in the import tariffs, deregulation of markets or opening the markets for private and foreign players, and reduction of taxes to expand the economic wings of the country. Manmohan Singh is considered to be the father of New Economic Policy (NEP) of India. Manmohan Singh introduced the NEP on July 24, 1991. The main objectives behind the launching of the New Economic policy (NEP) in 1991 by the union Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh are stated as follows: a.
