ANGUS SAMPSON

Angus Sampson is regarded as one of Australia’s most distinctive, diverse and successful performers with an extensive body of work spanning film, theatre and television.

Angus is the recipient of two 2016 Golden Globe Nominations for Fargo – Best Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for TV and for George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road – Best Motion Picture. Mad Max: Fury Road was also nominated for Best Picture at the 2016 Academy Awards.

Feature film credits include the box office smash hits Insidious, Insidious: Chapter Two, Insidious: Chapter Three, Insidious: The Last Key, Where the Wild Things Are for Spike Jonze, Legend of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole for Zach Snyder, Kokoda, 100 Bloody Acres in which Angus was nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ at Australia’s Academy Awards (AACTA), and many more.

Angus produced, co-wrote and directed the internationally acclaimed feature The Mule starring Hugo Weaving alongside Angus himself.

Television credits include the critically acclaimed series The Walking Dead, Syfy series Nightflyers, the Coen Bros masterpiece Fargo for Noah Hawley, Shut Eye for Sony and Hulu created by Leslie Bohem, No Activity for CBS, Spirited, Party Tricks plus Paper Giants: Magazine Wars for John Edwards and Thank God You’re Here for Working Dog. Angus combines all this with ongoing work as a TVC director having shot over 40 commercials, a trained copywriter and a much sought after voice-over artist. His most recent voice work has been as the narrator of the action-packed series Les Norton.
