New Timberline Sta Almendrita Vergara- Media Specialist Hi! I’m Almendrita Vergara. I’m a recent MLIS-School Library graduate from the University of Maryland where I also received my BA in English and Film Studies. I was born in Washington, D.C. and lived there until we moved to Boise last August for my husband’s job as the MakerLab instruction librarian at Boise State. Even though this will be my first year working in a school library, I’ve been working in libraries for the past 7 years. I’ve worked in academic libraries at the University of Maryland, American University, and Boise State as well as at public libraries as a Children’s Library Associate at DC Public Library doing Spanish bilingual programming. One of the coolest library skills I’ve learned is how to preserve and repair 16mm film. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, biking, yoga, and being a cat mom. Amanda Tyler- Administrative Assistant (Long Term Sub for Alsy Cory) After graduating from Timberline, as Amanda Bramble back in '07, I attended St. Lawrence University in upstate New York and graduated with a BA in History. After college I moved to Denver and started teaching 7th grade Language Arts. I spent the next 8 years working in Title 1 middle schools in Denver as a teacher and then as a Dean of Students. I am back in Boise with my husband and two kids. Outside of work I love skiing, climbing and camping. I’m excited to be back at Timberline! Naomi Lam- Bookkeeper Hi my name is Naomi. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a Human Resource and Marketing degree. This last year I decided to take a career change and join the Boise School District!
