PN120 - CROYDON COUNCIL DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 182 The Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No.A36) Traffic Order 20- 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council propose to make a Traffic Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers. 2. The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. A36) Traffic Order 20- would be to: (a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 2 Ashburton Gardens, Croydon, No. 9 Blake Road, Croydon, No. 43 Boston Road, Croydon, No. 19 Bungalow Road, South Norwood, No. 49 Ederline Road, Norbury, No. 79 Euston Road, Croydon, No. 19 Lavender Road, West Croydon, No. 148 Melfort Road, Thornton Heath, No. 67A Quadrant Road, Thornton Heath, No. 4 Southbrook Road, Norbury, No. 5 Torridge Road, Thornton Heath, No. 81 Totton Road, Thornton Heath, No. 63 Valley Road, Kenley, No. 2 Westbrook Road, Thornton Heath, and No. 38 Wontford Road, Purley. (b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in: Biddulph Road, South Croydon Adjacent to the flank wall of Nos. 1 to 12 Purley Grange, Brighton Road Chipstead Avenue, Thornton Heath Outside No. 45 and partially across the frontage of No. 47 Claremont Close, South Croydon Outside No. 2 Cranbrook Road, Thornton Heath Outside No. 15 Davidson Road, Croydon Outside No. 188 and partially across the frontage of No . 190 (partially on footway, replaces an existing permit/pay & display bay) Deans Walk, Coulsdon Outside No. 32 Grange Road, South Norwood Outside No. 17 Annsworthy Crescent, Grange Road Grove Road, Thornton Heath Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 2 Goldwell Road Harcourt Road, Croy don Outside No. 75 and partially across the frontage of No. 77 Highbarrow Road, Croydon Outside No. 2 and partially across the frontage of No. 4 Homestead Way, Croydon Outside No s. 118 / 120 Marden Crescent, Croydon Outside No. 10 Norbury Court Roa d, Norbury Outside No. 72 and partially across the frontage of No. 70 Onslow Road, Croydon Outside No. 19 and partially across the frontage of No. 17 Pemdevon Road, Croydon Outside No. 126 and partially across the frontage of No. 124 Priory Road, Croyd on Outside No. 90 and partially across the frontage of No. 92 South Norwood Hill, South Norwood Outside No. 68 and partially across the frontage s of No s. 66 & 70 Tedder Road, South Croydon Outside No. 99 Thomson Crescent, Croydon Outside No. 14 Tollers Lane, Coulsdon Outside 112a 3. A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of the plans which indicate each length of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at the Enquiry Counter, 'Access Croydon' Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. 4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Parking Design, Place Department, telephone number 020 8726 7100. 5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design section, Place Department, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing [email protected] quoting the reference: PD/CH/A36 by 14 September 2016. 6. The Order is intended to introduce disabled parking bays in roads where difficulty is being experienced in the parking of disabled persons’ vehicles due to heavy demand for parking in those areas. The order would also revoke those disabled parking bays which are no longer required in order to make best use of kerb space.
