Fatal Attractions uses etched foil, or PowerBlasts, as they are often called in comics. The greatest battles of the Silver X-Over use basic foil. Team Portrait is a nine-card puzzle that combines to make a collage of more than a dozen characters. Walmart packages have triptych cards that form two separate puzzles from three cards. 1994 X-Men Ultra Hobby Cases came with a set of five sizes Ultra Prints. 1995 X-Men Ultra Trading Cards 1995 X-Men Ultra remains true to the first release. The basic set remains unchanged on 150 cards. This is who of fantasy art among artists. Luis Royo, Hildebrands, Boris Vallejo and Ray Lago are just some of the big names to draw Cyclops, Magneto, Jubilee and dozens of other X-Men characters. Although most cards are standard character and combat type, there are ten subset cards by the end of the checklist that is unlike anything else in the set. Whether it was just an excuse to put Storm and Rogue in a bikini or something else, Spring Break shows the bright side is usually a serious franchise. The three main sets of inserts in the 1995 X-Men Ultra each use different types of stock. The sinister observations are all on Chrome. Acetate is used in suspended animation to distinguish characters from the Saturday morning cartoon, albeit with more detailed interpretations. Hunters and Stalkers - another set in the style of PowerBlast. Jumbo Ultra Seals return as body toppers. This time there are ten instead of five. 1995 X-Men Ultra All-Chromium Trading Cards As the name of the set suggests, the 1995 X-Men Ultra All-Chromium goes in a slightly different direction. It's still all a painted affair, albeit with a metal edge. All works are done by the Kubert family: Adam, Andy and Joe. The basic set is reduced by 50 cards to 100. Again, most are character driven. The most notable subset is the Haunted Mansion, gives the leading characters fantasy based on the personas. Professor X donam the magician hat while The Ice Man is made into a snowman. There are only two inserts The Alternate X has 20 embossed cards with one in each other package. As cool as it would be paired with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, Lethal Weapon is a simple but appealing Holo-Flash set. 1996 X-Men Ultra: Wolverine Trading Cards The ultimate set of Fleer Ultra X-Men shopping cards centered on the most popular member of their series, Wolverine. In fact, it's still comprehensive as far as X-characters go. In fact, much of the Marvel Universe is here. Ken Kelly, Joe Jusko and Mark Texeira are just some of the artists on the checklist. As far as the basic set goes, there are 11 different Wolverine themes, each receiving nine cards from the same artist. The basic checklist completes a set of 100 cards. The inserts are on the sparse side. Greg and Tim Hildebrandt made a nine-car HoloFlash puzzle. Three Lenticular Mirage maps use movement. They are hard to find and can get a little expensive compared to many other inserts. Home Entertainment Trading Cards Sets 1990-1999 Entertainment Trading Cards Brand: Marvel 1995 Fleer Ultra X-Men ranks right up there among the best sets of all time to focus on Marvel mutants. As in the 1994 set, the emphasis is on original art and premium-style cards, both of which have aged beautifully in the decades since. With 150 cards, the basic set is on the big side for the entertainment set. The images are completely painted, taking a somewhat realistic approach. Artists include Luis Royo, Marc Sasso, Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo. The cards use glossy trim and foil accents for names and logos, further lending a higher-end character set. Card backups rework the front image, although it's cropped. He is joined by a short recording. For completists, the base set has a couple of variations. Maps #39 can be found with two characters standing or flying on the front. #61 has another back where Southon looks either right or left. None of these versions of the real premium.1995 Fleer Ultra X-Men team has many inserts, but some versions can only be found in certain packages. This is most evident with hunters and stalkers. The Nine-card Powerblast set has gold, Rainbow and Silver versions, each of which is exclusive to a specific type of package. Gold in Walmart packages, Rainbow is only a hobby, and silver are jumbo-exclusives. Sinister chrome sighting set with more from Bella and Vallejo. Rounding out the main inserts of the suspended animation, the acetate is a set that focuses on characters from the X-Men cartoon that was on the air at the time. The sealed cases of the 1995 Fleer Ultra X-Men came with a set of ten UltraPrints. These are multi-dimensional cards that measure 6 1/2 by 10. First Post-Reboot Appearance: UNCANNY X-MEN # History: The origins of the creature known as Amphibius are currently a mystery. He is – or was – apparently a human who was born in the Savage Land, a hidden "lost world" in Antarctica, and was mutated to his current form in some as-yet unexplained manner (see Savage Land). He and the other Savage Land Mutates first clashed with the mutant adventurers known as the X-Men on the latter's first trip to the Savage Land (see Savage Land Mutates; X-Men). The Mutates' mysterious "Master" ordered them to attack the visiting X-Men, but they were defeated. Amphibius has since been seen with the other Savage Land Mutates in their subsequent clashes with the Avengers and the Brotherhood of Mutants (see Avengers; Brotherhood of Mutants). Of all the Mutates, Amphibius is perhaps the most angry and short-tempered, probably because he resents the inhuman form he has been given. Height: 6' (normally appears as smaller due to his stance).     PRIVILEGED ATTORNEY-CLIENT COMMUNICATION EXECUTIVE SUMMARY SECOND AMENDED AND RESTATED LICENSE AGREEMENT (“SPIDER-MAN”) CREATIVE ISSUES This memo summarizes certain terms of the Second Amended and Restated License Agreement (“Spider-Man”) between SPE and Marvel, effective September 15, 2011 (the “Agreement”). 1. CHARACTERS AND OTHER CREATIVE ELEMENTS: a. Exclusive to SPE: . The “Spider-Man” character, “Peter Parker” and essentially all existing and future alternate versions, iterations, and alter egos of the “Spider- Man” character. All fictional characters, places structures, businesses, groups, or other entities or elements (collectively, “Creative Elements”) that are listed on the attached Schedule 6. All existing (as of 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that are “Primarily Associated With” Spider-Man but were “Inadvertently Omitted” from Schedule 6. The Agreement contains detailed definitions of these terms, but they basically conform to common-sense meanings. If SPE and Marvel cannot agree as to whether a character or other creative element is Primarily Associated With Spider-Man and/or were Inadvertently Omitted, the matter will be determined by expedited arbitration. All newly created (after 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that first appear in a work that is titled or branded with “Spider-Man” or in which “Spider-Man” is the main protagonist (but not including any team- up work featuring both Spider-Man and another major Marvel character that isn’t part of the Spider-Man Property). The origin story, secret identities, alter egos, powers, costumes, equipment, and other elements of, or associated with, Spider-Man and the other Creative Elements covered above.     Earth-295 is a reality that was accidentally created by Legion, son of X-Men leader Professor Charles Xavier and Israeli diplomat Gabrielle Haller. Legion believed that the only way to bring peace to humans and mutants was to kill Magneto before he could incite the anti-mutant movement. He traveled back to a time when Xavier and Magneto both lived in Israel and were working at a hospital, taking the X-Men Storm, Iceman, Bishop, and Psylocke back with him. Legion tried to stab Magneto with a psi-blade, but Xavier shielded Magneto and was killed instead. By killing his own father, Legion made his own existence impossible. The M'Kraan Crystal resolved the paradox by restructuring reality. All the X-Men vanished from that reality, and a new reality came into existence. Bishop, already displaced in time, remained; but the chronal backlash fractured his mind. He wandered Earth for the next twenty years. The Rise of Apocalypse The clash of so many powerful mutants awoke the Celestially-empowered mutant Apocalypse years before he woke in the timeline of Earth-616. Through an analysis of the adaptation process of Marvel Entertainment’s superhero franchise from comics to film, I argue that a hegemonic American model of militarization has been used by Hollywood as a discursive formation with which to transform niche properties into mass market products. I consider the locations of narrative ambiguities in two key comics texts, The Ultimates (2002-2007) and The New Avengers (2005-2012), as well as in the film The Avengers (2012), and demonstrate the significant reorientation of the film franchise towards the American military’s “War on Terror”. While Marvel had attempted to produce film adaptations for decades, only under the new “militainment” discursive formation was it finally successful.
