Kohler r Decision-Maker r 6000 Paralleling Generator Set Controller General Description and Function

The Decision-Maker r 6000 generator set controller provides generator set advanced control, system monitoring, and system diagnostics, and control for paralleling multiple generator sets.

The Decision-Maker r 6000 interfaces the generator set to other power system equipment and other network management systems using standard industry network communications.

The controller uses unique software logic to manage sophisticated functions, such as voltage regulation, synchronizing and load sharing controls, and protective relays for paralleling up to eight generator sets on an isolated bus or one generator set to the local utility.

Decision-Maker r 6000 Paralleling Controller Paralleling controller features include:

D Isochronous (real and reactive) load sharing with other Decision-Maker r 6000 controller equipped generator sets. D Random first-on logic to prevent two or more generator sets from closing to a dead bus. D Automatic synchronizer with dead bus closing. D Soft loading and unloading. D Protective relays: d Synch check (25C) d Loss of field (40) d Over current (51) d Over frequency (81O) d Over power (32O) d Over voltage (59) d Reverse power (32R) d Under frequency (81U) d Under voltage (27)

Additional controller features include:

D A digital display and keypad provide access to data. The display provides complete and understandable information, and the keypad allows easy local access. D The controller communicates directly with a personal computer via a network or via a modem configuration. D A lockout key meets appropriate local code requirements. D The controller supports Modbus r RTU protocol.

Modbus r is a registered trademark of Schneider Electric.

Individual Generator Set Start/Stop The individual control screen allows the operator to run each generator set in the system. Generator Management Generator management optimizes the number of on-line generator sets based on the kW demand of the load. After a user-configured load stable time delay, generator management starts and stops generator sets based on the requirements of the load. The customer assigns each generator set a priority level. Higher priority units are sequenced on in the order of their priority and taken off in reverse priority. User-defined setpoints determine percent load level and the time delay before each generator set is brought on or taken off line. No Load Test No load test allows the user to test the system from the touchsceen on the Master Control Panel.

The DRH Series STULZ Ultrasonic Humidifiers are designed for stand-alone direct room applications. DRH humidifiers are typically mounted on a wall, column or suspended below the ceiling; serving such applications as printing houses, lithographic printing processes, bakeries, dair- ies, telephone exchanges, telecommunications rooms, electronics manufacturing, wood and textile processing, plus many more. • Follow all local, state and federal electrical and safety guidelines. Humidifier Control The controller can accept the following proportional high limit signals from a Building Management System in lieu of the All STULZ Ultrasonic Humidifiers require a UL Listed control box for factory furnished sensor (Input 2): each system providing power, component electrical protection, hu- midifier operation and alarm indication. Two types of control boxes 0-5 VDC 0-1 VDC are offered: A-Series On/Off and Ultra-Series Proportional. All control 0-20 mA 4-20 mA (Standard) boxes have water quality monitoring as standard. The water quality 0-10 VDC with converter (Standard) monitoring is provided to ensure clean, mineral-free mist production. The control boxes are designed for indoor installation only. Options include: • Audible alarm • Averaging control board for 2-4 sensors Ultra-Series • Temperature compensated control Proportional Control Boxes • Capacity Assist control for groups of humidifiers • Duct Proximity control for multiple humidifiers • Serial port for remote BMS communication and

The Ultra-Series controller is capable of controlling up to 16 STULZ Ultrasonic Humidifiers per system. The control output is fully proportional from 0% to 100% call for humidification. Through pulse width modulation, all humidifiers are switched on and off, as segments of approximately one second, simultaneously dependant on the level of the control (Input 1) and high limit (Input 2, when used) inputs. A run hour meter The Ultra-Series Proportional control systems are supplied as standard is provided as standard function of the Ultra-Series controller with: to provide a sum total of time segments the humidifiers have • Wall mount enclosure operated. In conjunction with the built-in drain solenoid valves, • Rotary main power disconnect with lockout feature the controller will drain the tank based on humidifier idle time. • Component circuit protection If a freeze alert condition exists, an automatic drain will initiate • 48 VDC power supply, one per humidifier to protect the tank from freezing. • Proportional output control • Microprocessor control board and backlit panel display/user Information displayed during normal operation includes: interface • Controller enabled via remote on/off • Password protected menus • General humidity production range: 0% - 100% • Weekly timer and night setback function • Room or return duct humidity level (when control • Remote start/stop sensor is used) • Dry contact for remote indication of shut-down alarms • Control signal level (when BMS control is used) • Time stamping event log for 100 events • Humidity set point (when control sensor is used) • Water conductivity probe.
