This calendar will be distributed to every household and business in the Nicholls electorate, so it is fantastic exposure for both established and amateur photographers. Details Your image should capture an element of what it means to live in the Nicholls electorate. The 2020 calendar was dominated by rural landscape photos – all of which were great – and while these images will again be considered, there will a greater emphasis on the characters (including animals!) among our communities, as well as rural activities and historic buildings; Images must be in landscape form (ie. wider than it is tall), and either be colour or black and white. The photo may be lightly edited. Pictures taken on a mobile phone are welcome as long as they are high resolution; The top 12 entries (as judged by Damian) will be used in the calendar, with photo credit, while the top photo will be used as the cover image and the photographer will receive a $100 gift voucher to the Goulburn Valley photography store of their choice; Everyone who lives in the Nicholls electorate is entitled to enter three images. Landscape, people and economy This chapter provides a brief description of the landscape, people and economic drivers in the water resource plan areas. Working rivers The rivers of these water resource plan areas provide many environmental, economic, and social benefits for Victorian communities. Most of northern Victoria’s rivers have been modified from their natural state to varying degrees. These modifications have affected hydrologic regimes, physical form, riparian vegetation, water quality and instream ecology. Under the Basin Plan it is not intended that these rivers and streams be restored to a pre-development state, but that they are managed as ‘working rivers’ with agreed sustainable levels of modification and use and improved ecological values and functions. 3.1 Features of Victorian Murray water resource plan area The Victorian Murray water resource plan area covers a broad range of aquatic environments from the highlands streams in the far east, to the floodplains and wetlands of the Murray River in the far west of the state. There are several full river systems in the water resource plan area, including the Kiewa and Mitta Mitta rivers. Other rivers that begin in different water resource plan areas converge with the River Murray in the Victorian Murray water resource plan area. There are a significant number of wetlands in this area, these wetlands are managed by four catchment management authorities (CMAs): North East, Goulburn Broken, North Central and Mallee and their respective land managers. The Victorian Murray water resource plan area extends from Omeo in the far east of Victoria to the South Australian border in the north west of the state.

Flood Emergency Plan for the Campaspe Municipal District A Sub-Plan of the Municipal Emergency Management Plan Issue 7: May 2018 Issue 7:May 2018 Flood Emergency Plan for the Campaspe Municipal District 1 Integrated Management Framework FLOOD EMERGENCY PLAN FOR THE CAMPASPE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT PURPOSE: This Flood Emergency Plan has been produced pursuant to Section 20(1) of the Emergency Management Act 1986 and the Emergency Management Act 2013 and assists in the organisation of emergency management in relation to floods. SCOPE: Floods have been identified in the Community Emergency Risk Register in the Municipal Emergency Management Plan as having a high risk. Consequently this plan has been developed. Emergency planning is undertaken at a state level, regional level and a local level. This plan is for the local level only. The plan outlines arrangements for the prevention of, preparedness for, and recovery from flood emergencies within the Campaspe municipal area but primarily covers the response to flood emergencies. REFERENCES: These are listed in Appendix “G”. AUDIT: This Flood Emergency Plan is a sub-plan of the Northern Victorian Integrated Municipal Emergency Management Plan and therefore is subject to the audit provisions of Section 20A of the Emergency Management Act 1986.     Parish and Township plan numbers This is a complete list of Victorian parishes and townships, together with plan numbers assigned by the Victorian Department of Crown Lands and Survey at some point between 1950 and 1970. The list has been reproduced from the Vicmap Reference Tables on the Department of Sustainability and Environment's land information website. Browse the list or use a keyword search to identify the plan number/s for a location. The plans are listed alphabetically. Townships and parishes are inter-sorted on the list. Some entries refer to locations within parishes or townships; these entries may be duplicated. The plan number can be used to locate copies of plans that PROV holds in the series VPRS 16171 Regional Land Office Plans Digitised Reference Set. For example, using the Search within a Series page on the PROV online catalogue with series number '16171' and the text '5030' will return the specific plans relating to the township of Ballarat. In this case, searching for 'Ballaarat' by name will return al the plans in the Ballarat land district, covering much of central and western Victoria. PROV does not hold copies of plans for the locations highlighted in pale yellow below. In most cases this is because parish-level plans were not created for areas such as national parks, where there were few land transactions to record.
