Temporary closure of Margaret Corbin Drive ended on Sept. 8th. There is mixed community sentiment on this, balancing the needs of the Cloisters and for vehicles to access the HHP from Ft. Washington Ave., and the need for more open recreational space. The Traffic & Transportation Committee will discuss this and other road closure issues at its next meeting, Two recent jet-ski accident deaths, which were tragic, if also avoidable. Parks Division of Marine Operations coordinates with other agencies (NYPD, Coast Guard) on waterway enforcements.
