HELLO PARENTS OF 9th-12th GRADERS

We would like to introduce you to STISY .... TEMPLE SHAREY TEFILO-ISRAEL SENIOR YOUTH

STSY is a student led organization under the guidance of the youth group advisor, Tracy Horwitz and Rabbi Ellie Miller. STISY is a wonderful way for teens to get involved in our Temple community. The STISY Board plans and imple ments all of its own programs. The programs include but are not limited to: Midnight Run, Trick or Treat for Hunger, Sporting Events, NYC Trips, and a Weekend Retreat. STISY teens run our High Holy Day Children's Program with the help of adult chaperones, they volunteer at our Purim Carnival and assist in many other social service projects throughout the year.

Since STISY is run by teens for teens, a large part of the process is teaching the teens how to budget, publicize, create, plan and present programs. Sometimes we do make a few mistakes as we learn together. We want to encourage all of our teens to be part of this wonderful program. Therefore, let us know if you would like your teen on the STISY mailing list or if you would like a STISY member to call your teen to encourage and welcome him or her into the group. Member ship is only $36 per year and entitles the teens to membership prices on all events (many are free for members) and access to wonderful large-scale Regional events. Please contact Tracy Horwitz via email at [email protected] or call 973- 763-4116 for additional information or for a membership form.
