FEELGOOD Formed on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970s, Dr. Feelgood remains one of the most popular and exciting live rhythm and blues acts in the world. Saturday 10 March 8pm £18.50. 16+ POLICE DOG HOGAN Police Dog Hogan are a high-energy and eclectic eight- piece, combining fiddle, trumpet, mandolin, drums and guitars with four-part harmonies in an exuberant and genre-defying fusing of country, pop, folk, and rocking urban bluegrass. The band is accepted as the world’s only official tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management. The band has been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’. Support from Lewin Cantor. Friday 23 March 7.30pm £14. COMEDY NIGHT A hilarious evening of stand-up featuring: Ben Lawes, Rob Mitchell and headline act Greg Cook. Greg Cook’s deadpan style and mastery of the spoken word led the head of BBC Comedy to describe him as ‘Les Dawson for the 21st century’. Rob Mitchell charms and engages audiences with his wit and down-to-earth observational humour. Ben Lawes’ comedy is observational with a twist of sarcasm. Saturday 24 March 8pm £10. 18+ PROMENADE CONCERT ORCHESTRA – MUSIC FROM THE PALM COURT Seaside and spa entertainment for 200 years and more has centred around easy-to-listen-to melodies and toe-tapping rhythms, and the PCO’s 11th such concert programme will highlight and stir-up the warm, nostalgic memories of by- gone holidays of past generations. Watch out for piccolo, xylophone and clarinet solos with the well-known ‘Victorian Kitchen Garden’ of television fame! Sunday 25 March 3pm £15, £13 concession, £7 child. EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA STARRING THE NASHVILLE TEENS The Nashville Teens’ hit records include Tobacco Road, Google Eye and many more! With support from Golly’s Rock- Ola, a popular northern group and The Knight Crew, new to Morecambe. The Nashville Teens were formed in the early 1960s. Ray Philips, the original lead singer, still fronts the band. They have toured with and backed the legendary Chuck Berry. Includes Hot Pot supper. Friday 30 March 7.30pm till midnight £18. 14+ CHRIS DIFFORD WITH SPECIAL GUEST BOO HEWERDINE Chris Difford is a rare breed. As a member of one of London’s best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’ and ‘Tempted’. Boo Hewerdine’s first tentative steps came with the band, The Great Divide before the formation of the critically acclaimed group The Bible and a career that subsequently bloomed. OH WHAT A NIGHT - THE NEW JERSEY BOYS The music of Frankie Valli. The New Jersey Boys takes you back to this magical time in music history when four boys from New Jersey in the USA and from the wrong side of the tracks invented their own unique sound. With all the favourite hits including: Oh What A Night, Walk Like a Man, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Sherry and many more... Friday 6 April 7.30pm £16. MORECAMBE BAND “BRASS AT THE PLATFORM” Morecambe Band are pleased to present their annual Spring concert at the Platform. Under the direction of Steve Simpson you are sure to be entertained with a varied programme to suit all ages.
