ANTARCTIC LOGISTICS & EXPEDITIONS

NAME OF INTERCONTINENTAL AIRCRAFT: Ilyushin IL-76TD, TBD registry

NUMBER OF PASSENGERS: A maximum of 55 passengers on each of eleven inbound flights, 8 staff and crew on each flight. A total of 300 passengers for the season is anticipated. Forty ground-based expedition staff will facilitate activities on-Continent.

ITINERARY: A number of flights to and within Antarctica are planned, according to the following itinerary. Equipment to be used within Antarctica include three De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft, inter alia, for passenger transport, logistic and medivac support. All expeditions depart from and return to Punta Arenas via base camp at Patriot Hills. Site visits may vary depending on weather and ice conditions.

- Flight (flights from Patriot Hills to South Pole): November 27- December 10, 2008; December 3-10; December 10-16; December 16-29; December 29-January 4, 2009; January 4-10. These programs typically include 10 clients each, but can accommodate up to 60 persons.

- Emperor (observation of rookery at Dawson-Lambton Glacier): November 8-20, 2008. This program typically includes 6 clients, but can accommodate up to 12 persons.
