2020-2021 UPPER SCHOOL ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL UPDATED: AUGUST 27, 2020

Once you are on campus, please follow all traffic directions given by staff. All students be wearing a mask before exiting their car or bus. Parents/guardians will not be permitted to leave their vehicles. Larger items in your trunk will be removed by a teacher or assistant once the parent opens the trunk remotely.

UPPER SCHOOL STAGGERED ARRIVAL Prior to each daily arrival, a symptom and temperature survey must be completed via RUVNA. All students must have face coverings on when they exit their bus or vehicle. As buses and private vehicles arrive, faculty and staff will monitor and manage the volume of entrants at the relevant entry points for the different buildings. Students in both buses and private cars should expect to wait as the volume of arrivals is managed. This process will allow for a and staggered arrival of students in buildings and classrooms, preventing entrance and hallway congestion and enhancing safety. There will be a single designated drop-off point for each division, and students must wait in their vehicles until they have been directed to exit them. All students must have their temperature taken and use hand sanitizer immediately upon exiting their bus or car and before proceeding to a class or building. Students must first proceed to the temperature checking station at their division and check in with the faculty at the station to confirm that their Ruvna symptom check is complete. Upper School students who drive to school should stop at the drop off point to register their presence on campus, proceed to park, and immediately return, keeping distance from others, to the faculty monitor for temperature check and hand sanitizing. Students should not gather anywhere on campus before or after the temperature and symptom screening and must walk immediately to their first-period classes once they are cleared to enter the buildings. Upper School classrooms in which students' first classes take place will be teacher-occupied before the formal beginnings of classes starting at 7:50am. All students with first-period classes should plan to be on campus no earlier than 7:50am and no later than 8:10am. All other students without first-period classes should be on campus by 8:55am; they should aim to arrive no earlier than 8:45am if possible.

UPPER SCHOOL DISMISSAL All students will be encouraged to proceed immediately to their means of transportation and leave campus immediately following their last class unless they have pre-arranged essential meetings with faculty or staff that can be held on campus in a safe manner.
