Ball will be spotted where returner controls the ball. 11-12 <150 lbs YES From: YES YES Whistle will make play “live” 30 sec Year 50 yard line after punter has control of long snap Olds (No Fakes) ALIGNMENT FOR: 6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, and 9-10 year olds Offensive Alignment: The offensive alignment of DPRD youth football leagues will consist of a center, two guards, two tackles and two ends. The offensive line will be balanced with a maximum split of 3 feet. The box is defined as behind and not outside the end offensive player OT/TE. Running backs must be a minimum of 1 yard off the line of scrimmage. There are to be no less than two backs in the backfield with the Quarterback NOT counting as one of the backs. The command to snap the ball must come from a player on the field. A wide-out cannot go in motion towards the football to block any of the interior 7 players. In other words, there are no crack backs allowed in this league. Cut blocks will only be allowed in the box. The interior linemen must be in a three or four point stance. Chop Blocks are not allowed. Defensive Alignment: DPRD youth football leagues will line up in a standard 4-3 defense. The DT must be in a 3 or 4 point stance. The DT will be head up over the Offensive Guards. The Defensive Ends must line head up to outside shade of the TE or OT. The Inside Linebacker must line up on the offensive guards or center at a minimum of 3 yards off the line of scrimmage. Outside Linebackers must be line head up on the end Offensive player in the box. Cornerbacks must line up outside the defensive end and be a minimum of 3 yards off the line of scrimmage. The two safeties must line up 6 yards off the line of scrimmage. See Fig 2. A 6-2 Defense is allowed for plays inside the 10 yard line or 4th down AND short yardage situations. The definition of a short yardage situation will be 2 yards or less on any down. The defensive tackles must be in a 3 or 4 point stance and be lined head up on the offensive guards and offensive tackles. The defensive ends must line head up on the TE. If the ends are split more than 3 yards out, then the defensive ends may line up inside the TE. Linebackers must line head up on the offensive guards and be deeper than the heels of the Defensive tackle. Cornerbacks must line up outside the defensive ends and be 3 yards off the line of scrimmage. Safeties must line up 3 yards deeper than the linebackers ALIGNMENT FOR: 4-5 year old Flag Offensive Alignment All offensive alignments shall consist of 3 linemen, 3 backs and one flex player wr/rb. Lineman can use their hands when blocking. All players are eligible for a pass. Defensive Alignment Only 2 defensive linemen can be on the line of scrimmage. All other defensive players will be at least four yards off the ball (behind the marker). No one can cover the center. .
