Field Mission Report: Sud, Grande Anse & Nippes 8.31.21 Key Findings: • Assessment & Security Update: o Jeremie (proper) and outlying communities such as Marfranc, Bonbon, and Abricot remain a chief priority for our team as we expand our receiving, storage, and distribution capacities in Jeremie in coordination with HaitiOne Partners - Haiti Bible Mission and Fondation Dauphin – in a coordinated plan to serve the city and the outlying communities. o Jeremie Maritime Operation in coordination with USAID, DPC, PNH, and local HaitiOne Partners was completed with no security incidents, and with excellent coordination in preparation for distributions beginning 9/1/2021. • Distribution Update: o 8 Communities in Jeremie and 3 communities in the Sud Department added to the HaitiOne distribution plan for 9.1.21. o The HaitiOne team is continuing to maintain a 24-hour turnaround on field assessment needs and distribution in coordination with DPC and local leadership (Mayors & Pastors). o 163 communities served to date, through 113 HaitiOne partners in the field, serving 21,966 family meal rations supplied to affected regions via missions in partnership with USAID and World Hope International within the affected region. • Update to Response Capabilities: o 3 primary beachheads for distribution in the affected region: Les Anglais (J635 Ministries on Southwest coast), Les Cayes (RMI in the Sud Dept), and Jeremie (HBM & Fondation Dauphin for the Grand Anse Dept) where we can securely receive and distribute with confirmed police presence. o Critical resupply to Jeremie via maritime operation (barge) delivering 118,000 lbs of relief aid into HaitiOne partners in Jeremie, with ongoing support lines forthcoming. • Med Support Brief: o Please see and review published distribution plan and needs for refreshed needs from major healthcare facilities in the affected regions. 8.31.21 - Field Objectives Met: • Resupply of HaitiOne regional partner hubs: Jeremie (1st non-air resupply since 8/24/21) and Les Cayes. • Refreshed prioritization with DPC and local partners of needs. • Support to remote areas still underserved or unreached. • Confirmed distribution planning completed in Jeremie in coordination with local HaitiOne Partners Haiti Bile Mission and Fondation Dauphin and DPC. Next Steps & Objectives for September 1, 2021 • 8 Jeremie distributions set up in coordination with DPC, HaitiOne regional partners, local churches, and local NGOs. • Prioritization of further distributions with local actors in Jeremie. • Ongoing supply support and reinforcement to OFATMA in Les Cayes. • Ongoing relief support through RMI, the regional HaitiOne partner in Les Cayes. • Completion of WFP & USAID transport requests to mobilize critical support to remote and/or underserved communities.
