And one of my favorite jobs in those roles is seeking out resources for SoulCollagers to enhance their practice. It’s a pleasure to stumble across a website or CD that I know will resonate with you. I often wander around the web searching for sites that have potential to enhance our inner wisdom and outer knowledge. And I am pretty much addicted now to seeking out music in many genres that will lift our minds, bodies and spirits. It’s true that each of the resources included in this e-book have appeared in a previous issue of Soul Treasures already. My hope in compiling them into this one volume is that you can keep it on your shelf or in your computer as a permanent colossal SoulCollage® reference. Several of the categories overlap, so please be sure to look at all of your favorites! Thank you so much for your interest in our KaleidoSoul resources. May these books and movies serve to enhance your SoulCollage® practice for many years to come. Peace, joy and blessings, Anne Marie Bennett Beverly, MA December 2010 P.S. Original songs, beautiful and mysterious. 7 Resources for SoulCollagers: Music & Websites from KaleidoSoul.com Four Corners , by Craig Chaquico. During the '70s and '80s, guitarist/songwriter Craig Chaquico played lead guitar with the popular rock band Jefferson Starship, which surprised me as this album is distinctly New Age with a hint of the Southwest. Since the early '90s, Chaquico diversified his music and branched out more into new age or world music, as can be heard in his song "Just One World" and the 1994 album Acoustic Planet, his blend of guitar playing and recordings of African and Native American music. The song became part of NASA's Space Ark project and is now in permanent orbit around the Earth. Chaquico continued to release albums throughout the latter half of the '90s, but it was his charity work that deserved the most attention as he began to play one free hospital concert a week for children. He also encouraged many of his contemporaries and friends to perform similar shows. Recommended by Kindred Spirit Laurie in California. Garden of the Gods , by Deuter. I am listening to this right now and as with everything by Deuter, this one also sounds magical to me. It has the singular quality of being able to slow down my rushing mind. This one also has some ethereal sounding vocals with it. Ahhh… Healing Sanctuary , by Dean Evanson. Soothing, beautiful music that will enhance any healing work that you do with your shadow. I love using this for my own inner dialoguing. It is unobtrusive and healing. The Healing Spirit , by Diane Arkenstone. This is my current favorite "quiet music" to play while journaling with my cards. Soft yet vibrant. I feel like I've "come home" whenever I hear this music. History of My Heart , by Suzanne Ciani. Beautiful piano music, soothing and easy on the ears. Good for background music while doing housework, driving, or creating art. In the Arms of Angels , by J. Michele Bodine. Give yourself the gift of inner peace with this soothing, gorgeous music. Perfect for healing work, meditating, and creating SoulCollage® cards! Inner Peace - by Steven Halpern.
