Bowman’s efforts also earned him ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week, and FCS National Placekicker of the Week from the College Football Performance Awards. The Blue Hens responded with a nine-play scoring drive, held Colgate to its first three-and-out and first punt of the night, and then drove 57 yards in 12 plays for the clincher. Delaware (2-1) improved to 6-0 all-time against Colgate. This was the first meeting between these schools since the Blue Hens won 40-0 in the 2003 NCAA national championship game. MORE DATA FROM DELAWARE • James Travellin and Jake Melville scored Colgate’s two touchdowns, reaching paydirt from 2 and 25 yards, respectively.
