Langel has brought Colgate to new heights this year with POSTSEASON AWARDS program records in wins, league wins, and home wins on its way to its first regular-season title since 1996. Before the season, Langel emphasized the importance of having his team playing its best basketball at the end of the season. The Raiders are arguably playing some of their best Coach of the Year: Matt Langel, Colgate basketball in program history with eight straight wins entering the playoffs. Player of the Year: Rapolas Ivanauskas, Colgate (Jr., F) Defensive Player of the Year: Jehyve Floyd, Holy Cross (Sr., F) Rookie of the Year: Tucker Richardson, Colgate (Fr., G) IVANAUSKAS FIRST COLGATE PLAYER OF YEAR SINCE 1997 Rapolas Ivanauskas is the third Colgate player to be named Player of the Year and the first since Adonal Foyle in 1997. With 10 double-doubles, Ivanauskas ranks fifth in the Patriot League in scoring (16.4 ppg) and third in rebounding (7.9 rpg). He finished the regular season with 11 FIRST TEAM ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE games of 20 or more points and 12 games with 10 or more rebounds. Ivanauskas over the last Sa’eed Nelson, American (Jr., G) 11 games is averaging 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Richardson has started 31 straight Jordan Burns, Colgate (So., G) games and averages 8.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 32.9 minutes per game. A Flemington, N.J., native, Richardson led Colgate to a comeback victory over Holy Cross on a Will Rayman, Colgate (Jr., F) career-high 20 points and posted a season-high eight rebounds twice during the regular season Jehyve Floyd, Holy Cross (Sr., F) against NJIT and Lafayette. He led Colgate in assists in 10 games this year and dished out nine assists twice in both regular-season matchups against Loyola. THIRD TEAM ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE Tommy Funk, Army West Point (Jr., G) Justin Jaworski, Lafayette, (So., G) Jordan Cohen, Lehigh (Jr., G) Kyle Leufroy, Lehigh (Sr., G) Hasan Abdullah, Navy (Sr., G) ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM RAYMAN AND BURNS NAMED SECOND TEAM ALL-LEAGUE Bruce Moore, Bucknell (Jr., F) Rayman has turned in another stellar campaign. He averages 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and Will Rayman, Colgate (Jr., F) 1.5 assists per game. Rayman became the first Colgate player in program history to go 6-of-6 Jehyve Floyd, Holy Cross (Sr., F) from beyond the arc in a game against Loyola, capped off by his game-winning 3-pointer in Andrew Kostecka, Loyola Maryland (Jr., G) the final seconds that led the Raiders back from a 17-point deficit. Over the past 11 games, Hasan Abdullah, Navy (Sr., G) Rayman is knocking down 3-pointers at a 55.4 percent clip, moving him up to fifth all-time in career 3-pointers made with 195. Also named to the All-Defensive Team, Rayman and the ALL-ROOKIE TEAM Raiders allow just 70.0 points per game, good for third best in the Patriot League. Jacob Boonyasith, American (Fr., G) Burns was one of just two sophomores to earn postseason All-League honors, and the only Jonas Harper, Boston University (Fr., G) one on the second team. Burns averages 15.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. Tucker Richardson, Colgate (Fr., G) He set the school record for most assists in a season, plus his 5.8 average per game is set to shatter the school mark (5.41) that has stood since 1951. He racked up 12 assists in a game Jaylin Andrews, Loyola Maryland (Fr., G) twice this season, coming just one assist shy of matching the program record for the most John Carter Jr., Navy (Fr., G) assists in a single game.
