It is a certification to GM site that reduce its waste footprint by not disposing waste in landfills (industrial or sanitary). HOW TO PUT INTO PRACTICE? Resolve Regulatory Challenges ✓ After the LFF Certification: ✓ Search for partnership with universities, organizations, institutions, city and state agencies with the purpose of: • Develop new technologies to reuse/recycle waste; • Find new partners to reuse/recycle the byproducts; • Development of sustainable products for cars and general uses. 7. Achieve Landfill-Free ✓ Standard letter for all destination partners to validate landfill byproducts off-site <1% of Total Waste; ✓ Validated: landfilled off-site byproducts does not exceed 1% by weight of the GM SCS operation’s total waste production. 8. Improve Efforts 8.1. Budget redistribution 8.2. Eliminate Non-Reciclabe • Melhorar o descarte seletivo. A maioria dos resíduos são recicláveis. Evitar o descarte no cesto cinza. • Planejar os tipos de embalagens provenientes de peças. O material deve ter possibilidade de reciclagem. Ex.: A borracha que vem nas caixas de proteção dos vidros automotivos não são recicláveis. • Buscar novos parceiros para reciclagem ou reutilização de resíduos ainda não recicláveis. Ex.: Cerâmica, Papel encerado, Lã de vidro/ rocha, entre outros.
