Eden Street Bus Shelter

Report by: Darci Slack and Ellie Henderson (Year 8 students at 2018 Events Solway Community School) The council and police gave 15th to 27th August Community School a great opportunity of designing and re-decorating two bus James Richards Circus shelters in Silloth. As year 8`s were studying graffiti in Art, they were the 24th to 26th August year group chosen to do the project. We were given this chance around Solfest the time of the centenary of the battle of the Somme which was what gave us 27th August the idea of doing a remembrance piece on WW1 art and including that in the Silloth Carnival bus shelter. To collect all ideas we were all asked 2nd September to create a design for the bus shelters.
