Initially, Amihai Grosz learned to play the violin, before switching to the viola at age 11. In Jerusalem, he was taught by David Chen, later by Tabea Zimmermann in Frankfurt and Berlin as well as in Tel Aviv by Haim Taub, who had a formative influence on him. At a very early age, he received various grants and prizes and was a member of the “Young Musicians Group” of the Jerusalem Music Center, a program for outstanding young musical talents. We have reached more than 13 .000 people through 262 concerts, in cooperation with more than 100 social centres, representing our best numbers ever . Sixty- seven students and 21 teachers from 20 different countries have played in seven Musethica weeks, two International Festivals, and five editions of the Mastering Performance Program . We have reprised the beautiful experiences of our collaborations with the Gotland Chamber Music Festival in Sweden, the Upper Galilee Voice of Music Festival in Israel, and the Association L’amis de La Garde in Bourg-en-Bresse in France, and a new Musethica association has been established in Sweden . The Musethica Association is now present in five countries . Not everything has been a success; the Association in Poland, although still active, held no concerts this year . We will work hard to get it back into action in 2017 . Everything we do has a clear objective: to improve the teaching of classical music performance, while sharing our music with people who have difficultly accessing it .

    „His tone is confident and passionate, he is an eloquent narrator without words, sovereignly covering the melancholic-dreamy width of the score.“ Frederik Hanssen, Der Tagesspiegel AMIHAI GROSZ VIOLA Biography Amihai Grosz looks back on a very unusual career path: At first a quartet player (founding member of the Jerusalem Quartet), then and until today Principal Violist with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and also a renowned soloist. Initially, Amihai Grosz learned to play the violin, before switching to the viola at age 11. In Jerusalem, he was taught by David Chen, later by Tabea Zimmermann in Frankfurt and Berlin as well as in Tel Aviv by Haim Taub, who had a formative influence on him. At a very early age, he received various grants and prizes and was a member of the “Young Musicians Group” of the Jerusalem Music Center, a program for outstanding young musical talents. Amihai Grosz works on solo and chamber music projects with artists such as Yefim Bronfman, Mitsuko Uchida, Daniel Barenboim, Janine Jansen, Julian Rachlin, Gustavo Gimeno, Tugan Sokhiev and David Geringas. He performs in international concert halls like the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Wigmore Hall in London or the Philharmonie Luxembourg and at festivals all over the world, including the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, Schleswig- Holstein Musik Festival, the festivals of Evian, Verbier and Delft, the BBC Proms, the Utrecht International Chamber Music Festival and the West Cork Chamber Music Festival. Highlights of the season 2019-20 include performances with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra under Alexander Vedernikov, the Orchestre d´Auvergne with Roberto Fores Véses, and the Berlin Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta as well as rich chamber music collaborations with partners such as Janine Jansen & Friends, Daishin Kashimoto, Julian Steckel, Claudio Bohorquez and Eric le Sage amongst others.

    2020 BIOGRAPHIES Behzod Abduraimov Piano “Abduraimov can do anything. His secret: authenticity, control and a velvet pianissimo.” (NRC Handelsblad). Behzod Abduraimov’s performances combine an immense depth of musicality with phenomenal technique and breath-taking delicacy. He works with leading orchestras worldwide including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra and Münchner Philharmoniker, and prestigious conductors including Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Manfred Honeck, Lorenzo Viotti, Vasily Petrenko, James Gaffigan, Jakub Hrůša and Vladimir Jurowski. Forthcoming European engagements include Orchestre de Paris, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester - including a tour to the Tongyeong International Music Festival under Michael Sanderling - English Chamber Orchestra, and St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra with performances in St Petersburg and Barcelona. He will also be presented in recital at the Kölner Philharmonie, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and returns to the Verbier and Rheingau festivals. In North America, Behzod returns to both the Pittsburgh and Seattle symphonies and will be presented in recital at Chicago Symphony Orchestra, 92nd Street Y, Maestro Foundation and Vancouver Recital Series amongst others.
