Premise Sorry for Your Loss follows Lee Shaw, a young widow who is forced to reconsider her life and relationship after the death of her husband. Actors and Characters (L to R) Actress Elizabeth Olsen, screenwriter and producer Keith Steinkelner and James Ponsoldt, actor Mamudou Ati, have been interviewed at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival by Elizabeth Olsen as Lee Shaw, a writer and recently widowed woman. After her husband's death, she quits her job by writing a advice column for the website Mostly News and moving in with her mother and sister. She currently works as an instructor in her mother's fitness studio, Beautiful Beast. Kelly Marie Tran as Jules Shaw, a recovering alcoholic and Lee's sister, who also works for Beautiful Beast. Giovan Adepo as Danny Greer, Matt's brother, with whom Lee has always had a stinging relationship. Mamudou Ati as Matt Greer, a school English teacher and Lee's late husband, who had a desire to become a comic book artist. Janet McTeer as Amy Shaw, lee and Jules' mother, who owns and runs her own fitness studio, Beast. Drew Birmanter (recurring season 1, season 2), editor of Basic News, where Lee had a tip column, and Lee's best friend. While searching for the dog's owners, she called the dog a visitor as a reminder to her and Jules that the dog is only a temporary guest. Memories make Lee realize that Matt's password is the date of the Rogue's death.
