Representations must be received no later than first post on the date stipulated on the attached list. We will only notify you in writing of the Council’s decision if you have made comments in writing or by e-mail about the application. Please quote the application reference number. All written representations received by the above date will be taken into account. The Council's Committees are held in public and although the name of a writer is not normally disclosed at a meeting, in many cases the substance of the representations themselves serves to identify the writer. Furthermore, all objections and representations will become available for public inspection. No action can therefore be taken on letters indicating that they are to be dealt with in confidence and no reliance should be placed on having made representations as to a similar application in the past. The Council issues this list to the Local Press, Libraries, some churches and local organisations. The Council operates a deputation scheme enabling individuals, including applicants, to speak at Committee meetings when a decision is being taken.
