Ourso College of Business PAI Students Present at Recent Conferences LSU Master of Public Administration students recently traveled to two public administration conferences to represent the institute and present their research projects. Kristen Smith and Mason Hess traveled to Georgia State University to participate in the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration’s Second Annual Student Simulation Competition on Global Climate Change. The two were just a pair of 375 graduate students from around the world competing at eight regional sites. Smith’s team, hosted by Georgia State, finished runner-up to the team hosted by Maastricht Graduate School of Governance in the Netherlands. Hess and two other MPA students, current Public Administration Institute Student Association President Karen Holton and recent graduate Peter Jenkins, also traveled to Charleston, South Carolina in October 2015 for the Southeastern Conference for Public Administration. Holton and Jenkins presented on Mason Hess and Kristen Smith participated in the Second Annual Student Simulation Interview Bias and Gender Non-Conforming Applicants, while Competition on Global Climate Change.
