DECK THE HALLS Deck the hall with boughs of holly, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la ‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Don we now our gay apparel, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la See the blazing Yule before us, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Strike the harp and join the chorus, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Follow me in merry measure, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la While I tell of Yule-tide treasure, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la FROSTY THE SNOWMAN Frosty the snowman was a jolly, happy soul With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say He was made of snow but the children know how he came to life one day There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found For when they placed it on his head, he began to dance around O, Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be And the children say he could laugh and play, just the same as you and me. 2 Frosty the snowman knew the sun was hot that day So, he said, “let’s run and we’ll have some fun now before I melt away” Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand Running here and there all around the square saying, “Catch me if you can” He led them down the streets of town right to the traffic cop And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler “Stop!” For Frosty the snowman had to hurry on his way But he waved goodbye saying, “Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again someday.” Thumpety, thump, thump, thumpety, thump, thump, look at Frosty go, Thumpety, thump, thump, thumpety, thump, thump, over the hills of snow HAVE A HOLLY, JOLLY CHRISTMAS Have a holly, jolly Christmas; it’s the best time of the year I don’t know if there’ll be snow, but have a cup of cheer Have a holly, jolly Christmas; and when you walk down the street Say Hello to friends you know and everyone you meet. Oh, ho, the mistletoe hung where you can see Somebody waits for you, kiss her(him) once for me. Have a holly, jolly Christmas, and in case you didn’t hear Oh, by golly, have a holly, jolly Christmas this year! HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS Have yourself a merry little Christmas, let your heart be light From now on our troubles will be out of sight Have yourself a merry little Christmas, make the Yule-tide gay From now on our troubles will be miles away. Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more. Through the years we all will be together, if the Fates allow, 3 Hang a shining star upon the highest bough And have yourself a merry, little Christmas now. HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS Here comes Santa Claus! Here comes Santa Claus! Right down Santa Claus Lane! He’s got a bag that’s filled with toys for the boys and girls again Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle, what a beautiful sight Jump in bed, cover up your head, ‘cause Santa Claus comes tonight! I SAW MOMMY KISSING SANTA CLAUS I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus underneath the mistletoe last night She didn’t see me creep down the stairs to have a peek She thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom fast asleep. Then, I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus underneath his beard so snowy white. Oh, what a laugh it would have been, if Daddy had only seen Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night. IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go. Take a look in the Five and Ten, glistening once again With candy canes and silver lanes aglow It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, toys in every store But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be on your own front door. A pair of hop-a-long boots and a pistol that shoots is the wish of Bonny and Ben Dolls that will talk and go for a walk is the hope of Janice and Jenn And mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go There’s a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well The sturdy kind that doesn’t mind the snow It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, soon the bells will start And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing right within your heart. 4 JINGLE BELLS Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh O’er the fields we go laughing all the way Bells on bob tails ring making spirits bright What fun it is to laugh and sing a sleighing song tonight. Oh, (Refrain) Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh, oh Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh. A day or two ago, I thought I’d take a ride And soon Miss Fanny Bright was seated by my side The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot We got into a drifted bank and then we got upsot. Oh, (Refrain) JINGLE BELL ROCK Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock, jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun, now the jingle hop has begun Jingle bell, jingle bell jingle bell rock, jingle bells chime in jingle bell time Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square in the frost air. What a bright time, it’s the right time to rock the night away. Jingle bell time is a swell time, to go gliding in a one-horse sleigh Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet, jingle around the clock Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet That’s the jingle bell, that’s the jingle bell, that’s the jingle bell rock. 5 JOLLY OLD SAINT NICHOLAS Jolly old Saint Nicholas, lean your ear this way Don’t you tell a single soul what I’m going to say Christmas Eve is coming soon, now, you dear old man Whisper what you’ll bring to me; tell me if you can. When the clock is striking twelve, when I’m fast asleep Down the chimney, broad and black, with your pack you’ll creep All the stockings you will find hanging in a row Mine will be the shortest one, you’ll be sure to know. Bobby wants a pair of skates, Suzy wants a sled, Nellie wants a picture book, yellow, blue, and red Now I think I’ll leave to you what to give the rest Choose for me, dear Santa Claus; you will know the best. LET IT SNOW Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, And since we’ve no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow It doesn’t show signs of stopping, and I’ve bought some corn for popping The lights are turned way down, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow When we finally kiss goodnight, how I’ll hate going out in the storm But if you’ll really hold me tight, all the way home I’ll be warm The fire is slowly dying, and my dear, we’re still good-bye-ing, But as long as you love me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow LITTLE DRUMMER BOY Come, they told me, pa rum pum pum pum A newborn King to see, pa rum pum pum pum Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum 6 So, to honor Him, pa rum pum pum pum, when we come.
