Bandha We use Bhandas in practice to contain or lock prana in certain regions of the body. Bandha means to lock, close-off or to stop. In the practice of a Bandha, the energy-flow to a particular area of the body is blocked. When the Bandha is released, this causes the energy to flood more strongly through the body with an increased pressure. As the Bandhas momentarily stop the flow of blood; there is an increased flow of fresh blood with the release of the Bandha. In this way all the organs are strengthened, renewed and rejuvenated, and circulation is improved. Bandhas are also beneficial for the brain centres. The Chakras and Nadi energy channels are purified, blockages released and the exchange of energy is improved. Bandhas alleviate stress and mental restlessness and bring about inner harmony and balance. This science has now become increasingly popular in many countries. There are several health conditions that can be cured or at least alleviated to a great extent, through the practice of this science. Yoga includes Asana, Pranayam and exercises that can help body, immunity, increase strength, weight loss, remove stress and relief from pains, infections and disorders. Some of the various yoga poses and techniques can be used to cure numerous conditions ranging from nasal polyps to cancer. Since a sinus infection is one of the most common respiratory ailments that people suffer from, it is only common for them to use natural practices to cure this condition. Yoga practice, which is known as Jala neti or Sutra neti, i.e., cleansing of nasal cavity, throat can help reduce the pain and discomfort due to sinusitis, within a shorter period of time. These procedures are known as Neti kriya. Neti kriya is an integral part of shatkarmas / the six cleansing techniques that form the most important aspect of hatha yoga.

Abstract Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu Baba Bhagawan Ram Ji, a well-established saint of the holy city of Varanasi in north India, initiated many changes into the erstwhile Aghor tradition of ascetics in India. This tradition is regarded as an ancient system of spiritual or mystical knowledge by its practitioners and at least some of the practices followed in this tradition can certainly be traced back at least to the time of the Buddha. Over the course of the centuries practitioners of this tradition have interacted with groups of other mystical traditions, exchanging ideas and practices so that both parties in the exchange appear to have been influenced by the other. Naturally, such an interaction between groups can lead to difficulty in determining a clear course of development of the tradition. In this dissertation I bring together micro-history, hagiography, folklore, religious and comparative studies together in an attempt to understand how this modern day religious-spiritual tradition has been shaped by the past and the role religion has to play in modern life, if only with reference to a single case study.

    GUIDELINES for YOGA PRACTITIONERS for COVID 19 Preamble Yoga is a discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. Yoga leads to a perfect harmony between mind and body, man and nature, individual consciousness and universal consciousness. Yoga helps to build up psycho-physiological health, emotional harmony; and manage daily stress and its consequences. Yoga is also useful in conditions where stress is believed to play a role(1). Various yogic practices such as Yogasanas, Pranayama, Dhyana (meditation), cleansing and relaxation practices etc. are known help modulate the physiological response to stressors. Several randomized controlled studies have shown the efficacy of Yogic practices in GUIDELINES management of non-communicable diseases like for hypertension(2) , Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease (COPD)(3) , bronchial asthma(4) , diabetes(5) , sleep disorders(6), YOGA depression(7) , obesity(8), etc. that can be comorbid conditions in patients with COVID 19. Yoga has also been shown to be useful in PRACTITIONERS vulnerable population such as elderly, children. The function of for the immune system is critical in the human response to infectious disease. A growing body of evidence identifies stress as a cofactor COVID 19 in infectious disease susceptibility and outcomes(9). Studies on yoga in managing flu symptoms during an Influenza season have shown promising results. A recent randomized trial comparing meditation and exercise with wait-list control among adults aged 50 years and older found significant reductions in ARI illness during cold season with mindfulness meditation(10) . Yoga is also known to increase mucosal immunity by increasing Salivary Beta Defensin-2 levels in elderly population(11) Considering that they are a vulnerable group to contract such infections, yoga may be useful as a preventive measure.
