The purpose of this letter is to request consideration for committed and continued development of the Downtown Entertainment District, incorporating a new Convention Centre (inclusive of Sid Buckwold Theatre) and the Entertainment and Sports Arena. City Council will be inundated with capital project proposals through the budget cycle, focusing on post COVID recovery. It our wish that strong consideration and high prioritization be given to development of the Downtown Entertainment District during these deliberations. The development of the Entertainment District, including both of the anchor venues, is critical to enable Saskatoon to not only bounce back from COVID, but to thrive in the face of that recovery. Economic Impact of Downtown Entertainment District The arena and convention centre (including Sid Buckwold Theatre) are essential components of the economic vitality of the City of Saskatoon, and a significant draw for both business and leisure travel. Entertainment and conference facilities are known to be important drivers of the national and regional economies through domestic and international visitation, facilitating small business, and fostering innovation. Studies validating the economic impact of both venues have been completed in recent years.

    Saskatchewan Land of Living Skies - Thankful to study a term at Edwards School of Business, U of S - Name: Sophie Kneule Major: BWL- Industrie: Industrielles Service management (Business) Year: 2017 Abroad semester: 4th Semester (January-April 2019) Home university: DHBW Stuttgart Guest university: University of Saskatchewan/ Edwards School of Business Introduction I live in south Germany and study business with the focus of industrial service management at the DHBW Stuttgart and work all three months at the Deutsche Telekom AG. The university offers the opportunity for students to study semesters abroad, to gain another perspective of studying and experiencing another way of learning. Before I started my student career, I wanted to do a semester abroad. I have been in New Zealand for work and travel after high school, and already on the flight back to Germany I was 100% sure I wanted to gain another abroad experience, as there are so many possibilities to learn, improve and experience for both work and life in general through living in another country and culture. DHBW Stuttgart has connections to several universities in the world. I collected lots of information, talked with people, and figured out a list of countries I would like to go to, as well which are affordable. After a while, it was decided that I will go in my fourth semester to Saskatoon, Canada. As a look to the map shows, Saskatoon is in the middle of nowhere, in the province Saskatchewan. The province is three times as big as Germany, so it has a lot to explore.

Using a qualitative assessment of the events leading up to election day and data from an online vote compass gathered during the campaign period, it argues that the popularity of the incumbent Premier, Brad Wall, was the decisive factor explaining the Saskatchewan Party’s success. Summary of the Proposed Subject Property The feasibility study considers development of a proposed hotel in Downtown Berryville on or proximate to Main Street. The subject site has average access to major roadway (State Route 7) because of its proposed location in downtown Berryville's Main Street district, limiting its visibility and ease of ingress and egress from a major roadway. While the proposed site is proximate to some demand generators, the low density of commercial developments in the area is projected to be a weakness. Leisure attractions in Berryville and Clarke County including vineyards, historic manors and event venues, and Barns of Rose Hill will help mitigate this weakness. Visibility is considered to be average, relative to other historic downtown locations, due to its proposed multi- level configuration, assumed signage, and on or proximate to Main Street. State Route 7, which connects Berryville to neighboring Winchester and Leesburg, is less than a mile north from central downtown.
