NYIT Academy

NYIT Academy is a dynamic winter or summer program that provides academic instruction, experiential learning, service learning and cultural programming. These programs are ideal for students between the ages of 15 and 22. Tuition per week is $750, room & board option is an additional $1,250 per week. There is a multi-week discount. Exploring the English Language in NYC: An immersive summer program, combining intensive coursework with opportunities to experience New York City, its culture, commerce, food, and people. Exploring Architecture in Manhattan: Participate in design practice, theory, history, CAD, museum and office visits, modeling, presentation, and portfolio preparation. and Computing Sciences: Includes electronic music, coding, gaming, hacking, robotics, 3D printing, CAD, prototyping, materials science, and nanotechnology. Arts and Sciences: Brand Yourself! Including graphic design, 3D printing, photography, illustration, and typography; Create Motion!: 3-D modeling and animation, game design, and motion capture. Hospitality and Management: The program incorporates academic studies; professional industry tours and guest speakers representing all aspects of leadership in the hospitality/business world - and engages students with New York and U.S. cultural experiences. Health Professions: This two-week academy will expose students to programs in nursing, clinical nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies and osteopathic medicine. Students will participate in lecture and hands- on laboratory sessions in our state-of-the-art facilities. Included are tours of the anatomy, simulation, and biomechanics labs. Interdisciplinary Studies: Introduces City Hike, a walking tour of New York and it's surrounding neighborhoods. This program allows students to explore the City while also doing volunteer projects that promote reflection and the importance of Urban Administration. Students can choose to attend a different program each week. NYIT Academy also offers a room and board option for out-of-town and international Students.
