Reported under OneLicense No. 4676 Page 4 CATHEDRAL HOURS DE MULIERIBUS FORTIBUS: CATHEDRAL CAMPUS STRONG WOMEN OF THE ROMAN CANON Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday - Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In the past, “mulier fortis” was a term employed in ecclesial Offices, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. circles to describe a woman of strength and gravity. Latin for “strong woman,” it was really a compliment, a testament to a SUNDAY MASS determined woman of God. Fortis has many meanings: Anticipatory (Saturday) 5:15 p.m. Sunday 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., Noon, & 5:00 p.m. strong, powerful, mighty, vigorous, firm, steadfast, coura- geous, brave, bold. When I was newly ordained, only a hand- DAILY MASS ful of parishes still had live-in housekeepers. These women Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. & 5:15 p.m. (often widows) cared for rectories that housed at least three priests.
