A local nature or biodiversity plan sets out a number of agreed actions to help us to conserve, enhance and highlight the natural environment in our local area. Kinvara (Cinn Mhara), literally ‘The Head of the Sea’ has been a fishing village, market town and port. Today it is a major tourist destination along the Wild Atlantic Way standing at the gateway to the unique limestone flags of the Burren. We live along the margins of Kinvara Bay into which flow underground rivers creating a unique environment for flora and fauna, but we also have a traditional agricultural industry. Kinvara Tidy Towns in conjunction with members of Kinvara Ballindereen Tree gang attended a series of on-line biodiversity workshops hosted by Burren Beo during Winter/Spring 2021 and have compiled this list of Biodiversity Actions as a result of that activity. This plan groups actions identified into manageable projects.     FILE 32/4 MURRAY 1848 ORDINAR Y 1 Note stating: For letters 1846 to 1848 re dispute over the boundaries of Balbriggan and Skerries parishes see "Diocesan" Murray. 1848. 2 Enclosed in preceding: Letter, ten pages long, to Murray from Fr Boyle, P.P., Skerries. Because of pressure of work over the Christmas season he could not, until now, avail of Murray's kind offer to submit his appeal against the decision of the Council on the report of the referees on the dispute between himself and Fr Smyth, Balbriggan, re their parish boundaries. (1) He objects to Fr Smyth's examination and cross-examination of witnesses; writer was absent through illness and instead of the referees conducting the enquiry, Fr Smyth took over completely and sent in reports favourable to his own case. (2) The referees did not submit a conjoint report. (3) He now submits his own case based on parochial documents dating from 1770. (4) Proof from the negotiations that went on between the landlord J. H. Hamilton and the builders of the Drogheda Rail Road and other matters concerning parish lands. (5) He encloses seven letters (copies) from parishioners proving his case (statements re their holdings being regarded as in Skerries parish). (6) All the oldest parishioners and former curates whom he 61 - names agree with writer. In a footnote he is surprised that a certain person was allowed to give evidence in favour of Fr Smyth. The writer would be sorry to consort with this person and wonders at Fr Smyth having done so. 7 Jan.

Galway, Ireland Tel: + 353 91 485790, Email:[email protected], Web: www.Geo-Mara.com Marine Archaeological Assessment Non-Technical Summary: DeepSea Fibre Networks Ltd. have commissioned Geomara Ltd. to undertake a maritime archaeological assessment in connection with a proposed new sub-sea telecoms cable system linking Galway, on the west coast of Ireland to Bilbao on the north coast of Spain. This report addresses the section within the Irish jurisdiction. The assessment comprises an introduction to the study area and the identification of cultural heritage sites, features and deposits located along the proposed cable route corridor. In order to provide a comprehensive assessment, an extensive desk-based study of the route corridor was undertaken. The potential impact of the proposed scheme on the receiving environment is addressed and mitigation measures to ameliorate these impacts are presented. Seven sites were identified during the Galway City Council Storm damage mitigation report at or around Ballyloughane beach including a possible old quay and some ships timbers. All the sites are on the shore side of the planned Horizontal Directional Drilling. One potential known wreck site (W09510) including some additional ones nearby are located in close proximity to the cable corridor (Figures 9 – 12). Three archaeological monuments located in the vicinity of the cable landfall in Ballyloughane Strand; a Ringfort (GA-094-059), located in the townland of Rinmore c.

We have thriving enterprises in our area such as Natus but we need to do more to grow our businesses to create jobs and prosperity. The National Broadband Plan is essential to economic growth in Rural Ireland and I was delighted to be at the recent signing of the contract. As Minister for Digital Development and as Minister of State in the Department of Rural and Community Development, this is something I have taken a strong lead on. Delivering on support for Rural Ireland was key to my negotiations in the Programme for Partnership Government in 2016. My Department now has a whole range of funding supports that are making a huge difference to Rural Ireland - the Rural Regeneration Fund, the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, CLÁR, LEADER and the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme. During my time as Minister for the Office of Public Works, I prioritised flood relief schemes. I continue to work closely with the OPW and I am delighted to see so much progress being made around the county. While working on major projects, I also feel that it is vital as your TD that I can help on a practical day-to-day basis. INDEPENDENT My constituency office is a One Stop Shop to help and advise on a whole range of issues for individuals, clubs and organisations. It is open 5 days a week.
