Summary of political parties’ donations and borrowing for quarter four 2016 (October to December) The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We work to promote public confidence in the democratic process and ensure its integrity. Registered political parties are required to report quarterly donation and borrowing returns to us within 30 days of the end of each calendar quarter.
