Background Within the existing luxury resort community of Albany, BHM were commissioned to construct new beach cottage properties. Albany is a 585 acre resort boasting a marina, golf course, equestrian and fitness center amongst many other facilities. Background The relocation of the port was required to ease heavy Bay Street container traffic and allows shipping companies to operate from one location at the mouth of the Nassau Harbour. Arawak Cay marine works and new apron will allow the port to operate as a recognised international container port.

The 40-acre development is the home for local shipping companies and a distribution facility for international freight to the whole of .

Project Description BHM was appointed by Arawak Port Development Limited for the construction of the landside facilities for the new Port on Arawak Cay to service the island of New Providence and a vital link for goods transfer to the Family Islands. Background BHM’s initial contract with the Paradise Island Tourism and Development Agency was for a 2 year, $16million contract to rehabilitate the infrastructure and road network for the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island. In a busy, tourist environment it was essential that works were carried with minimal impact on the general public. Our successful delivery on this project led to BHM undertaking all major road works and infrastructure on Paradise Island, with contract values totalling $31million to date.

Background The Baha Mar Resort (also known as The Bahamian Riviera) is located on the world famous Cable Beach in Nassau. The resort will feature four elite hotels (SLS Lux, Rosewood, Grand Hyatt & the Bahamar Casino Hotel) and a state-of-the-art convention facility, including 2,000-seat performing Arts Centre and Art Gallery. Amenities will include the 18-hole, 72-par championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

Project Description BHM as part of a joint venture were contracted by China State Construction America for the construction of the major infrastructure works on one of the largest resort developments in the Caribbean. Scope of works included:

Background BHM were awarded this scheme following on from the successful completion of the Harrold Road project. BHM assisted the client in reaching their budget by offering a number of value engineering savings, including the use of swales in lieu of a gravity drainage system. Background The Baker’s Bay Golf and Country Club is a private, property owners only club community perched on the northern 600 acres of in the Abaco family islands of the Bahamas, located just 190 miles off the southern coast of Florida. Nestled between the turquoise Sea of Abaco and the Atlantic Ocean, the community features picturesque home sites, luxurious island cottages and colorful beach bungalows that blend in perfectly with the rich cultural heritage of the .

Project Description BHM were awarded the works on this prestigious contract for Discovery Land, for the Bulk Earthworks and Paving on Phase One of the Project. Existing Limerock being harvested as the Base Material for the new roads with excavated dredged material being utilized for the New Embankments, Property Lots and for the Shaping of Drainage Swales. Existing Mangroves and Vegetation are required to be preserved to maintain the natural eco system, with silt fencing protecting the areas, the works also calls for the demucking and surcharging of areas where the works cross swamp areas. BHM’s mobile ADM Asphalt plant was mobilized to the Cay to complete the HMA Asphalt, the design of which was for a free flowing roadway through mangroves and over purpose built islands. Background The Balmoral Development is a gated community comprising a total of 70 single family lots, located on the south side of Stanford Drive. As part of sub-division works, BHM were initially employed by Balmoral Development Ltd to carry out site clearance and bulk earthworks on the project. Having successfully delivered this element of the works, the client had the confidence to negotiate significant additional works including the installation of a gravity and forced sewer system, water main, road sub base and hot mix asphalt paving. The works took place on a congested site as the lots were built while BHM carried out the subdivision element. BHM liaised closely with other contractors to ensure the works progressed smoothly and safely.

Background Bay St Marina is an 89 slip marina capable of accommodating vessels up to 150 foot long. The marina is located east of Downtown, looking on to Paradise Island. In addition, each slip has Wi-fi, power, fresh water and waste disposal services.

Background As part of the Downtown Nassau Revitalization Project working for the MoWT and the Downtown Nassau Partnership, BHM were engaged to carry the reconstruction and rehabllltatlon of Bay St road leadlng from Blake Rd all the way to the busy Downtown Hiiton Hotel. This fonned part of a wider scheme to improve traffic management and pedestrian facilities within the area.

Project Description The scope of works for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of West Bay St roads included;

Background The development of Bimini Bay Resort will bring with it significant growth in visitors in the future. Made up of three islands, North Bimini, South Bimini and East Bimini, Bimini is the closest point in the Bahamas to the USA. The airport is situated on the South Island, with Bimini Bay Resort, the Port and the majority of the amenities located on the North Island. Movement between the islands is only possible by boat. To accommodate the anticipated growth in visitors to Bimini, the infrastructure needed significant improvements, including an extension to the existing runway to accommodate larger planes.

Project Description BHM was appointed as Main Contractor to undertake significant improvements to the airport’s existing airside infrastructure. The project included the extension of the existing runway by 1,000ft, increasing the area of the existing apron by nearly 200% and the construction of a new taxi-way onto the runway to supplement the existing. The whole project required BHM to undertake bulk earthworks, grading and HMA paving.

Services Provided • Demolition of 3,500 feet of existing steel pipeline • Installation of new 16’’ HDPE buried pipe line without disrupting the funcionality of the fire system and the entire facility • Installaltion of stub outs for 17 foam fire suppression hydrants

Benefits to Customer • Replacement of above ground pipe line with more protected below ground pipes. • Bigger diameter of new pipes ensures higher capacity of the fire suppression system • Project was phased in order to maintain the operation of the fire suppression system, minimizing at each step the section taken off the line.

Background The project was conducted without disrupting the every day activities of the oil facility, and minimizing the loss of capacity of the existing fire main system. Each section was tested at 150 psi and commissioned immediately after completion and before proceeding to the following section. Demolition and replacement activities were conducted under the strict safety policy required by the Owner, and the project was completed without any incident or causing damage to the existing facilities

Project Description BHM was awarded the contract to replace a section of the existing 10’’ fire main system (3500 feet) with a 16’’ HDPE below grade pipeline. The benefits of the new systems are: • Higher capacity due to larger diameter and higher flow capacity of HDPE • New pipeline is more protected from fire and potential impact with heavy equipment • Site HDPE pipe is not affected by corrosion of any type.

Project Description BHM was appointed by a Private Developer for the construction of a new 30,000 sq ft development comprising 2 separate retail buildings. Background Named after Sir Lynden Pindling, the first Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the airport sits just west of Nassau. The expansion of the airport was essential to attract and accommodate up to 5 million passengers annually and become one of the top world-class airports in North America. With US pre-clearance facility, the airport offers Americans and transit passengers to and from the United States, who will make up 80% of passengers in the future, the added advantage of transitioning through US Customs and Immigration before leaving The Bahamas. The expansion of the airport was undertaken in three stages. Stage One - US Departures Terminal. Stage Two - construction of a new International Arrivals Terminal and Pier. Background Lucayan Tropical Produce was fonnad with the aim of improving the quality of produce available in the Bahamas. The construction of a Hydroponic Greenhouse by BHM allowed this aim to be achieved. “Hydroponic” fanning involves innovative techniques where solution is used rather than soil. This method isolates the plant from the ground, thereby ellmlnating sources of disease. This results in significant gains in terms of both yield and quality of produce for example soil typically produces 5-10 tonnes of tomato per acre per annum, hydroponic can exceed 200 tonnes per acre per annum.

Project Description BHM was contracted by Lucayan Tropical Produce Ltd for the construction of a six acre state of the art hydroponic farm, the first of its kind in the Bahamas. Background Abaco has around 90,000 visitors every year; is the second busiest airport in the country and one of the busiest airports in the entire Caribbean region. The building of the new Marsh Harbour airport terminal, air traffic control tower and fire/ crash rescue facility and new runway was designed to enhance Marsh Harbour Airport’s capacity to provide quality service to the growing number of Abaco residents and visitors.

Project Description BHM was appointed as a major specialist subcontractor to support and collaborate with the main contractor FES Construction. The project included the construction of a new parallel runway, including site clearance, bulk earthworks, HMA paving, runway lighting, signage and approach lighting. It also required the rehabilitation and extension of the existing runway and associated taxiway links.

Background The New Providence Road Improvement Project has decreased traffic congestion and relieved motorists frustration, with a major upgrade and improvement of the road network.

Project Description BHM was appointed as a major specialist subcontractor to support and collaborate with the main contractor, Jose Cartellone Construcciones Civiles. The project included the major reconstruction and improvement of numerous roads within the urban environment of Nassau. Much of the works were undertaken out of busy commuter hours to minimise disruption to the general public and road users. Background The existing Norman’s Cay Airstrip was in poor condition and only 3,000 feet long; the airfield did not comply with international regulations for flight operations.

The client is intending to develop an upscale resort and luxury housing on the Cay and wished to upgrade the airfield so that it could become a point of entry into the Bahamas. A marina was also to be developed for the use of the residents and guests.

Project Description BHM was appointed main contractor for the runway and marina works. The project includes the excavation of a marina which provides fill for the bulk earthworks for a new runway built partially on reclaimed land. Also included in the project are surface dressing, shore protection, sand seal road, fencing and traffic marking works. Due to the environmentally sensitive nature of the surroundings, inclusive of a National Marine reserve, a high degree of environmental compliance was established on the project.

Background With a sewerage system originating back to 1926, the infrastructure within Shirley St was in urgent need of upgrade and repair. The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) estimated that 90% of leaks were occurring via the water service lines, highlighting the need for replacement. It was anticipated that the upgrades carried out by BHM would result in cost savings totaling several million dollars per annum. In addition, the paving to Shirley Street also required improvement which BHM carried out in conjunction with the water service and sewerage works.

Project Description To minimize disruption to the general public, BHM carried out the majority of the works under out of hours and traffic management restrictions. Background The new National Stadium is in the heart of New Providence on a 450 acre plot which includes access roads, 15,000 capacity parking, a recreational park, velodrome cycling track, athletes’ village - complete with facilities for American football, baseball and softball stadiums. The whole complex includes commercial and press facilities. To achieve the National Stadium in this key location, the existing hot rod drag racing strip and other facilities had to first be successfully relocated.

Project Description BHM was the lead partner of the Joint Venture contracted by the Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas for the construction of infrastructure works for the National Stadium together with major works for the overall National Sporting Complex Development. Works being undertaken included: • 4 Major roadways to supplement the New Providence Road Network and provide stadium access; • 4 Major junction improvements along Yellow Elder Way, Thompson Boulevard and Baillou Hill Road; • Stadium parking areas with ancillary works; • Utility, drainage and landscaping for Stadium surrounds; • Upgrade of the existing waste water treatment plant for the Greater Oakes Field and Yellow Elder Area; • Relocation and upgrade of drag racing track to International Hot Rod Association compliance.

Background Baha Mar, hotel development and major infrastructure is set on 3,000 feet of white-sand beach just 12 minutes from Nassau’s newly expanded Lynden Pindling International Airport. The resort features an elite collection of hotel brands with gaming, entertainment, private residences, shopping and natural attractions that reflect an authentic Bahamian experience. Amenities include the 18-hole, 72-par championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a state of the art convention facility, which includes a 2,000-seat performing arts centre and art gallery. The whole project has required major new and upgraded infrastructure including new highways, reinforced power and other utility supplies support by a full upgrade of Nassau International Airport.

Project Description BHM as lead partner of a joint venture and overall contract administrator were contracted by Baha Mar Ltd for the construction of the major infrastructure works on one of the largest resort developments in the Caribbean. The project included: • The realignment of West Bay Street, a major arterial roadway for New Providence; • Construction of 7 roundabouts to supplement access to the new hotel resort development; • Ancillary works for utility service upgrades, drainage, street lighting, and landscaping; • New parking areas for relocated Straw Market, employees, and patrons; • Relocation of the famous Cable Beach Median Walk. • The construction of a new dual carriageway between realigned West Bay Street, the development and John F. Kennedy Drive, part of the main spine road for the island of New Providence; • Construction of a further 3 roundabouts on existing major roads; • Ancillary works for utility service upgrades, drainage, street lighting, and landscaping; • Relocation of 132kVA high voltage power lines.
