July 2, 2014 Dear Brother,

From August 3rd to August 8th, 2015, the will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary by holding the 32nd National Order of the Arrow Conference at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. This event will bring 10,000 Arrowmen from all across America together for a week of fun, fellowship, learning and exciting entertainment. The Order of the Arrow lodge of South Council is planning to take 30 Withlacoochee Lodge Arrowmen to NOAC and we want you to join us!

By attending, you will get the opportunity to experience the pinnacle of events. A National Order of the Arrow Conference is unlike any other Scouting event. This rich experience will leave a lifetime of memories. The Order of the Arrow holds its national conference about every other year, but this Conference will be the largest in the history of the Order. From learning about the history of our Order, to exciting shows, to excellent leadership and character building sessions, to making new friends from across the nation; this is an excellent way to rekindle your passion for Scouting. If you have not already achieved the rank of Eagle , going to NOAC may give you the boost you need to complete your advancement. If you are an Eagle Scout, going to NOAC will inspire you to use the skills you developed to help the next Scout reach his goals, and to give back to Scouting. Involvement in the Order of the Arrow has proven to enrich many Scouts’ journey, and we hope you’ll take advantage of this once in a lifetime experience.

We estimate the cost to be a member of our contingent to be $1,200.00 which includes transportation, the National OA event fee, meals, housing, and other lodge-specific items such as patches, t-shirts, and an embroidered hat. Attached is the Withlacoochee Lodge NOAC registration form which provides more details on how to register and what to expect. Should you have any questions, please contact our Contingent Adviser, Mr. Mike Johnson, at [email protected] or have your son contact our Youth Contingent Leader, Jesse Griggs at [email protected].

Thank you for your fulfilling your obligation to the Order of the Arrow and for strengthening Scouting in South Georgia Council.
