A warm welcome to all from Reading who have made the journey along the M4 to Meet your local team.... Wootton Bassett for this league fixture, we hope you enjoy your first visit to our new ground and we wish you a safe journey home. Richard James are pleased to have recently joined the The two sides met earlier in the season at Palmer Park in Reading and it was our visitors who Royal Wootton Bassett High Street. As you may or may won that night scoring four times whilst we failed to find the net in what was a disappointing not know, we have recently taken over the reigns at showing. Our record against Highmoor Ibis is not a good one. Indeed we have yet to win Select Properties whilst Andy and Kerry the former against Highmoor after five previous meetings. The first two games between the two sides both owners settle in to their retirement (lucky them!). resulted in 2-2 draws in Season 2013-14. Shaun Carter and Lewis Chatwin scored in the game at Palmer Park whilst Levi Cox and Lee Stevens netted in the return at the Corinium Stadium. With our network of six additional o ces located Last season we lost 3-1 at the Corinium, Dan Bailey with our consolation goal but lost heavily throughout Swindon and its surrounding villages, Jo Bunkasem by six goals to nil in the return game in Reading. Having shipped ten goals in our last two Richard James have been helping people move in the encounters with Highmoor we will be looking to improve matters here tonight. Wiltshire area for over 23 years. We have a large team Highmoor currently sit one place above us in the table in 11th place, the two sides being level on of local experienced sta all looking forward to getting 39 points but Highmoor having a superior goal difference. Highmoor have also played one less to know and become part of the Royal Wootton Bassett game than ourselves. With Highmoor having a less suceesful season this time round, despite community. our heavy loss earlier in the season, there has never been a better opportunity than tonight to break our duck against the Reading side. If the rumours are true Highmoor are scheduled to We are very proud to have been asked to support the move into Reading Town’s ground at Scours Lane at the end of the season. Royal Wootton Bassett Football Club and are looking forward to a successful season ahead. Lydney Town Another disappointing result on Saturday as we went down 2-1 at home to Lydney Town, this Josh McHugh despite our opponents having gone down to ten men. The winning goal was I understand down Alex Hornby to a defensive mix-up, this after Steve Robertson had given us a 1-0 lead. The win allowed Managing Director Lydney to close the gap on us in the table. Hopefully tonight we can return to winning ways and move above tonight’s opponents in the league table in the process. Reserves On Saturday the Reserves picked up another useful point following a 2-2 draw away at Are you thinking about moving? Marlborough Town. On target for the Reserves were Carl Shepherd and Luke Adams. They will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to three games here on Saturday when Wilts Calne Town are the visitors to the New Gerard Buxton Ground. Having recently defeated Wilts Calne Whether you are thinking about selling or Town in the cup Danny and Dave’s side will be confident of repeating that victory. letting, contact us today for an up to date Ladies Team market appraisal of your home, or nd us Deborah Reay The Ladies unbeaten run unfortunately did not extend into double figures as they went down 2- online below and use our online valuation 1 against Forest of Dean Ladies on Sunday. I know that Becky was disappointed that the tool to help you start your move. Ladies didn’t really compete on the day and lost to a side we had beaten 6-0 earlier in the season. These things happen and I am sure the Ladies will return to winning ways quickly as they look to finish runners-up in the league. t: 01793 855 117 Cricket Club Casino Night w: richardjames.info Just another reminder that Royal Wootton Bassett Cricket Club will be hosting a Casino Night to raise funds at the New Gerard Buxton Sports Ground this coming Saturday (5th March) from 8pm. Our visitors Highmoor Ibis are 2nd from bottom and we are just three places above them. For both sides the problem appears to the number of C2’s (dissent by word or action). What odds having a game without a single yellow card? Probably something like you would have got on Leicester City winning the Premiership at the start of the season! Longlevens, Highworth Town and Binfield are the three sides with the best disciplinary records at the time of drawing up the latest table, whilst our near neighbours Purton have the best record of sides in Division One.
