While influenced from African, Native South American, and European cultures, the Tango developed in the late 19th century to become synonymous with Argentina and to represent its passion and magic.

Argentina’s most important grape varietals were introduced from abroad- including the iconic Malbec from France, Bonarda from Italy, as well as Cabernet and Chardonnay, adapting to the distinct high-altitude, yet warm climate of Mendoza and becoming signature wines of the country.

Catena Z apata White Bones Chardonnay 2013 100% Chardonnay Made from select rows of the Adrianna Vineyard, the name refers to the soil underneath these rows, which is layered with calcareous deposits and limestone as well as fossilized bones – the remnants of a river that used to pass through the region. Full-bodied and rich, with flavors of ripe pineapple and honeycrisp apple and hints of anise and eucalyptus. Catena Alta Chardonnay 2015 100% Chardonnay A blend of rigorously-selected grapes from the best lots within the Adrianna & Domingo vineyards, barrel-fermented in 100% French oak- resulting in a complex, aromatic and flavorful wine. Tilia Bonarda 2016 100% Bonarda Bonarda has become, along with Malbec, one of the signature reds of Argentina. Ripe dark fruit with hints of violet and anise on the nose. Soft, velvety tannins give way to a juicy wine with black raspberry and black plum flavors along with notes of black pepper. 2016: 88 Wine Advocate

Catena Malbec Classic 2015 100% Malbec Sourced and blended from four of Catena’s high-altitude vineyards. This combination of different vineyard components results in a wine with heightened complexities and unique character that has natural balance, concentration and a distinct varietal identity. El Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2014 100% Cabernet Franc A joint effort between Adrianna Catena and Alejandro Vigil, El Enemigo Cabernet Franc has distinct Old-World aromatics, with New-World ripeness. Intense and concentrated notes of cassis, ripe currants, and sweet spices including black pepper and cloves. Nicolas Catena Z apata 2013 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec Created exclusively from the most exceptional lots within the Catena vineyards, marked with a red sash to distinguish from the rest, the NCZ is a world-class wine caliber wine. Aromas of black fruit with subtle vanilla and dark chocolate. Red and black fruit flavors, eucalyptus, and black pepper give way to cassis and a delicate salinity. Renacer Milamore 2015 45% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Bonarda, 5% Cabernet Franc Grapes are sourced from 50+ years old vines from three distinct high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza, and are uniquely dried on the vines and vinified in the appassimento style. Notes of exotic spices, charcoal and chocolate are seamlessly layered with the fruit. Full bodied, rich and complex, with a long finish beautifully framed by fine-grained tannins. 2015: 90 Vinous

In 1902, Nicola Catena, an Italian immigrant, planted his first vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina. The winery, now in its fourth generation is one of the few family-owned Argentine wineries still in Argentine hands. Owned today by Nicolás Catena and his daughter Dr. Laura Catena, Bodega Catena Zapata is known as the pioneer of fine wine from Argentina, and Nicolás is recognized as the vintner who revolutionized wine quality in Argentina. Bodega Catena Zapata continues to lead the way in Argentine viticulture and winemaking, with wines from the famed Adrianna Vineyard considered to be the ‘Grand Cru of South America’.

El Enemigo translates as ‘the enemy’. Nodding to the fact that at the end of any journey, most remember only one battle — the one fought within (the original enemy). This is the battle that defines us. The wines of El Enemigo are a tribute to those internal battles that make us who we are, brought to fruition by Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena who share a love of wine and strive to bottle the era when European immigrants first settled in Argentina.

Founded by Patricio Reich, with the collaboration of world-renowned winemaker Alberto Antonini, Bodega Renacer prides itself in bringing consumers the very best wines from South America’s unique terroirs. The winery structure itself is quite impressive, featuring a medieval tower built of rocks with state-of-the-art winemaking equipment. The wines of Bodega Renacer are handcrafted by a dedicated team. From tedious vineyard management, to carefully selected grapes, and through a highly attentive vinification process, Bodega Renacer produces distinctly Argentine wines that are akin to a fine piece of art.

Made at Bodegas Esmeralda, Tilia has been handcrafted to demonstrate true varietal character. Named after the Tilia (Linden) tree commonly found throughout Argentina’s wine country. Vineyard workers often make tea from the flowers of this tree and enjoy time sitting in the shade after a hard day’s work. These wines are a tribute to those workers and to the Argentinean way of living life to the fullest, enjoying every moment and relaxing in the natural environment the land provides.
