THREE PATHS OF FLAMENCO SINGING Flamenco singers Rocio Lopez ‘La Boterita’, Chelo Soto and Miguel Astorga Guitar Fran Moya Clapping hands Fernando Santiago and Bastian Jimenez 1.15 h (w/out intermission) Tribute to the great figures of flamenco singing who left their expertise to the following generations and artists, like Manolo Caracol, Pepe Marchena o Antonio Mairena.

Fran Moya Flamenco guitar player (Malaga, 1985). In 2007 he won 2nd Prize and the grant at the 5th Flamenco Guitar Accompaniment Contest [Certamen Flamenco de Guitarra de Acompañamiento] in Cordoba (Cristina Heeren Foundation), which enabled him to learn from the great masters of guitar, such as Niño de Pura, Pedro Sierra, Paco Cortés and Eduardo Rebollar. For three years he participated in the New Flamenco Voice [Nuevas Voces Flamencas] circuit as official guitar player, together with the guitarist Curro de María. In 2010 he won 2nd Prize at the Andalusian Contest of Young Flamenco Musicians [Certamen Andaluz de Jóvenes Flamencos] of Malaga. In 2014 he obtained a Higher Degree in Flamenco Guitar at the Rafael Orozco Superior Conservatory of Music of Cordoba. He has played all over the world and has composed music for shows, including Mi Carmen flamenca, Lluvia de tierra, Antonio Andrade Dúo and Flamenco suite. At present he is director of the project guitarraflamencamalaga.com.

Miguel Astorga Miguel Astorga, who is from Malaga, has been a professional singer since a very young age, specialising in singing for dance. At present he is working to find his niche as solo performer, with his first album Eterno presente.

Chelo Soto Chelo Soto is a singer from Malaga who has been performing for more than twenty years, during which she has worked with renown artists including Joaquín Cortés and La Lupi. In 2017 she won the prestigious Festival Torre del Cante. At present she is working on her first album, of which the single “Tú amor me lleva” has already been published.

La Boterita Rocío López Cuenca, ‘la Boterita’, is a flamenco singer from Almogía (Málaga). A daring composer, she entered the world of composition with an EP entitled Esperándote, in which she blends flamenco with styles such as R&B, pop, rock and funk. She recently launched a single with the bulería "Levantando el vuelo", accompanied by the flamenco guitarist Fran Moya. A versatile artist, she balances her professional activity with teaching and her profession as International Sign Language interpreter and speech therapist.

BLUES EN SOCIEDAD The Gangberries / Hot Nasho / Suzette Moncrief Quintet In this cycle the Malaga Blues Society presents the cream of the crop of blues in Malaga. Complying with its statutory commitment to disseminate this cherished genre, on this occasion the association has brought together combos and noteworthy representatives of different styles for the enjoyment of Malaga fans and visitors.

The Gangberries Fran Pacheco guitar and leading voice Javier Martin bass Dani Cuenca drums Salva Marina voice and keyboards 1.30 h (w/out intermission) This project was born in 2012 from the union of Fran Pacheco, Javier Martín and Dani Cuenca (members of well-known Malaga bands such as Lito Blues Band, Richard Ray Farrell, Mama Kin and El Trío de Saco) to pay tribute to BB King, Johnny Winter, Albert King and other great figures of blues. In 2016 they were joined by Salva Marina, member of Frutería Toñi and Tabletom. Although its repertoire consists mainly of versions, they always add a personal touch to their music. They are currently working on their first album with their own compositions.

Hot Nasho 1.30 h (w/out intermission) Nacho Mena (Hot Nasho) is a musician and composer from Ronda whose focus is on North American music. In addition to his original compositions, he has recovered songs of old bluesmen and other melodies from the decade of the 20’s to the 60’s.

Suzette Moncrief Quintet Suzette Moncrief leading voice Nasho guitar and voice Cristobal Oteros ‘Pobas’ harmonica Javier Martin bass Dani Cuenca drums 1.30 h (w/out intermission) New Yorker and cover singer who lives on the Costa del Sol, Suzette Moncrief is a member of the Lito Blues Band (Lito Fernández), which she joined in 1991. She has passed through different musical ensembles, had her own band, Southern Cats, and was co-singer of the Free Soul Band. Always eclectic and versatile, she performs versions of blues, R&B, soul, funk, jazz, rock and classy pop. She has shared the stage with Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones), Richard Ray Farrell, Tonky de la Peña, Ñaco Goñi, Francisco Simón and Raimundo Amador, amongst others.

The Swing Machine Let’s swing! Javier Navas vibraphone Juan Galiardo piano Joan Massana double bass Andres Litwin drums 1.15 h (w/out intermission) The Swing Machine is a quartet formed by renown musicians linked to the most stimulating national jazz projects who are all devoted to this energetic and entertaining style that appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. Swing has maintained its presence and vitality up to our days, with a stylistic and emotional function for multiple generations of musicians and fans around the world.

Ric Arlandi Criminal look Ric Arlandi voice and guitar Lere double bass and back vocals Pedri Miranda semi-drums and back vocals Carlos Jimenez guitar and back vocals Ric Arlandi, ‘The King of Sun Coast Rockabilly’, with 5 albums and more than 25 years travelling throughout Europe and , has been singing, composing and playing traditional American music, in particular rock n’ roll and rockabilly of the 50’s, all his life. In his concerts, Arlandi delivers all the power of his stage performance, his musical quality and much appreciated skill.
