Unlock Your Talents and Broaden Your Horizons

Croeso i Ysgol Llanfyllin Welcome to Ysgol Llanfyllin Welcome To Ysgol Llanfyllin

Joining us here at Ysgol Llanfyllin will be an exciting if not a slightly anxious time for you. We totally recognise these feelings and will do our best to help you settle quickly into our school .

We have had to change our approach to transition this year to follow the Senedd’s guide- lines and social distancing. As we are not able to hold our transition days we have pre- pared some online worksheets / information sheets to support moving from your primary school to secondary school.

As guidelines change and more details become available we will contact you again. In the meantime if you have any questions that you would like answered please send them by email (rtr@llanfyllin-hs..sch.uk). I will do my best to answer all your questions.

I am looking forward to the time that we can all meet and that you can get to know our school and make new friends.

With warm regards,

Mr Rudge - Progress Manager Year 6 /7 Pleased To Meet You

Many of you will travel to Llanfyllin on the school bus. The bus companies know that new Year 7 pupils will be on their buses so don’t worry!! If you know someone travelling on your school bus it would be a good idea to ask them to look after you on the bus. The bus will drop you inside the school grounds.

If you travel by car to school please ask your parents to drop you near to, but not immedi- ately in front of, the school doors as it will be very busy at that time in the morning. A speed limit of 5 mph will be exercised.

If you are walking to school make your way safely along the pavement and remember your green cross code when crossing any roads.

Once inside the school gates you must not leave school without Mr Rudge’s permission.

At the end of the day there will be staff on hand to help you catch the correct bus home. School Uniform

School uniform helps to set the right expectations and standards in our school community. Please refer to the Uniform Code on our website for the full uniform guidelines and explanation. https://www.llanfyllin-hs.powys.sch.uk/school-policies.html
