Fastdar Scheme for Road Accident Death Cases Launched on 01St May, 2021
FASTDAR SCHEME FOR ROAD ACCIDENT DEATH CASES LAUNCHED ON 01ST MAY, 2021 ROAD ACCIDENT DEATH COMPENSATION CASE DECIDED WITHIN 10 DAYS OF THE ACCIDENT Rajesh Tyagi & Ors. v. Jaibir Singh & Ors. Judgment dated 12th May, 2021 in FAO 842/2003 1. The Delhi High Court has framed a FastDAR Scheme for resolving a road accident death cases within ten days of the road accident. This Scheme applies to death cases in which (i) the death is due to the rash and negligent driving of the offending vehicle; (ii) the driver of the offending vehicle is holding a valid driving licence; (iii) the offending vehicle is validly insured at the time of the accident; (iv) in case of a commercial vehicle, there is valid permit and fitness certificate; and (v) there is no violation of the Insurance policy such as drunken driving or the vehicle being driven by a minor. 2. This FastDAR Scheme for compensation claims of road accident deaths within 10 days of the accident was launched as a Pilot Project on 01st May, 2021. 3. On the very first day of the Pilot Project i.e. 01st May, 2021, a road accident was reported at 03:45 AM at Vasant Vihar, Police Picket in which a Honda CRV car rammed into police barricade and hit a police constable, Munshi Lal which resulted in fatal injuries. The police registered FIR No. 78/21 at P.S. Vasant Vihar. This case was brought to the notice of the Fast Track Committee on 04th May, 2021. The Committee took up the matter with the Investigating Officer and provided the FastDAR Format to the Investigating Officer. -

No. 7428 of 2010) Ajay Singh Chautala … Appellant Versus C.B.I. … Respondent J U D G M E N T V.S. SIRPURKAR, J. 1. This judgment will dispose of two Special Leave Petitions, they being SLP (Crl.) No. 7384 of 2010 and SLP (Crl.) No. 7428 of 2010. While Abhay Singh Chautala is the petitioner in the first Special Leave Petition, the second one has been filed by Shri Ajay Singh Chautala. The question involved is identical in both the SLPs and hence they are being disposed of by a common judgment. 2. Leave granted in both the Special Leave Petitions. 3. Whether the sanction under Section 19 of The Prevention of Corruption Act (hereinafter called “the Act” for short) was necessary against both the appellants and, therefore, whether the trial which is in progress against both of them, a valid trial, is common question. This question was raised before the 2 Special Judge, CBI before whom the appellants are being tried for the offences under Sections 13(1) (e) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act read with Section 109 of Indian Penal Code in separate trials. 4. Separate charge sheets were filed against both the appellants for the aforementioned offences by the CBI. It was alleged that both the accused while working as the Members of Legislative Assembly had accumulated wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income. -

Haryana Vidhan Sabha WHO’S WHO 2005 Research Branch Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Chandigarh Preface This publication of WHO’S WHO contains the biographical sketches of Members of the 90 seated 11th Haryana Legislative Assembly the election for which were held on 3rd February, 2005 and the Assembly was sonstituted on 21st March, 2005. A tragic incident took place on 31st March, 2005. A tragic incident took place on 31st march, 2005 when Shri O.P. Jindal, Power Minister and Shri Surender Singh, Agriculture Minister died in the chopper crash at Gurgaon, near Saharanpur (U.P.). The Bye-election on 3 vacant seats i.e. hisar, Tosham and Kiloi (Shri Krishan Hooda resigned on 05.04.2005) was held on 2nd June, 2005 in which Smt. Savitri Jindal (wife of Shri O.P. Jindal), Smt. Kiran Choudhari (wife of Shri Surender Singh) and Ch. Bhupinder Singh Hooda were elected from Hisar, Tosham and Kiloi constituencies, respectively, Sardar Harmonhinder Singh Chatha was elected Speaker of the Assembly unanimously on 21st March, 2005 and resigned from the office of Speaker on 12th January, 2006. On 13th January, 2006, Dr. raghuvir Singh Kadian was elected as Speaker of the Assembly, unanimously.
